11. Urges For My Mate

I was late to class because I had to go to a meeting with my dad to discuss pack matters, I wasn't really paying attention to what was being said because I couldn't stop thinking about my mate.

Why was she trying to kill herself?

I almost ended up not going to school but I'm glad I did because when I walked in class the beautiful scent of my mate calmed the dizziness my wolf made me feel ever since I met her.

When she looked at me she had this cute shocked expression even though her hair was covering half of her face I still could tell she was shocked.

My wolf purred clearly pleased at his mates well being. I ignored him and handed Miss Brown a piece of paper paper with an excuse to why I was late.

After giving her the paper I looked at my mate and frowned. I could tell that there was something bothering her. She looked tired and not just physically.

"Hey over here Chase" Alice said with her high pitched voice which made my ears bleed.

All the attraction I felt for her disappeared the moment I saw my mate but I was gonna resist the mate bond for as long as I can even if this caused dizziness.

I ignored the urge to go towards my mate and headed toward Alice instead.

I sat down next to Alice and Miss Brown continued with the lesson. I couldn't help but eavesdrop on my mate and sisters conversation.

I was shocked when she said Alice was her sister they looked nothing alike. I decided to stop listening on their conversation  because I don't want to strengthen the mate bond and by thinking about her I'd be doing just that but when I heard her giggle I couldn't help but look at her. The urge to go to her got stronger. To touch her.

It was finally lunch and i was walking with my friends to our table.

"So how's your girlfriend, is she good in bed? She must be i bet she's had lots of practise". Jake, my beta and friend said.

"Are you calling my girlfriend a slut". I said chuckling not even slightly bothered.

"What do you think". He asks with a 'are you stupid' look I just ignored him and sat down at our table.

Our conversation was cut short  when my mate showed up in the cafeteria with Adeline.
I should really find out her name. Calling her mate feels intimate.

I could tell that they were coming to our table because her scent was getting closer, stronger making my hands twitch. The need to touch her was becoming overbearing.

"Hey guys this is my friend Gem" she said.

Gem huh, for some reason I didn't like her name. It didn't fit her.

"That's the girl who is named after a rock you keep blabbering about" Jake said earning a few chuckles.

I growled at what he said but low enough for only werewolves to hear. Jake just looked at me with curious eyes, I bet it wouldn't  take long for him to put two and two together.

I couldn't help but stare at her and i blame the mate bond for that. After a few minutes Alice came and sat on my lap. She looked at Gem with such venom it had me wondering if they were really sisters.

"What is this slut doing here" she said pointing her finger at Gem.

"That's priceless coming from you" Adeline scoffs earning whistles from the boys at the table.
