I opened my eyes and was met with a bright light.
I closeed my eyes then open them once again and let them adjust to the light.
I sit upright and looked around the room. I'm in a hospital.
I sigh in relief because I expected to wake up in the basement or maybe not wake up at all.
looking to my left I saw a male sitting on a chair while his head on the hospital bed.
Chase.
He was here. Here for me..
I stared at his hair and felt the urge to run my finger through it.
After a few seconds of me being a creep Chase woke up.
He first looked shocked but then he looked sad.
"Hey" I whispered.
He did the most unexpected thing ever.
He hugged me.
"Don't ever do that again" he growled.
I didn't know what he meant but I nodded my head regardless.
He released me and smiled sadly.
"I'm sorry, I've been horrible to you. I've been the worst mate ever. When you were gone I realised how much i needed you. I'm sorry" Chase explained slowly and carefully.
His eyes held guilt and his face in a frown.
My heart ached. He was sorry.I reached out and touched his hands.
"You really were the worst" I told him sternly.
He just sighed and looked down.
I put my finger under his chin and lifted his head. His eyes met mine. They were silver.
His wolf wasn't in control.
"But I will think about forgiving you" I whispered.
His eyes glowed brighter and a faint smile formed on his lips.
I have already forgiven him but I won't tell him that. He hurt me. Badly. But I couldn't stay mad at him. I was completely unable too.
"So when am I being dischar-" before I could finish
I remembered that I was turned into a Vampyr.
I gave him a scared look.
"Dad- he turned me into a Vampyr Chase am..am I a Vampyr" I panick.
"No you are not. Gem you are not a Vampyr because the venom didn't work on you. It only turns humans into Vampyrs" he looked into my eyes.
"Gem you are not human"
I am not human.
I wanted to laugh but when I saw how serious he was all sense of humor died.
"How is that even possible. I am human, ive been human since the day i was born. You must be wrong" he was wrong. I'm human and ice been that way since day 1.
"If you were you would have turned into a Vampyr"
His words dawned onto me. What he was saying was true. I should have been a Vampyr by now but I'm not....because I'm not human.
"Then what am i" I whisper slowly. I'm not even sure I wanted to know the answer.
"We don't know yet but you are not a werewolf or a Vampyr"
