My most recent exam took so much energy from me 😂 so I rested.

The head butler wasn't even fazed when he woke up at five in the morning to prepare for breakfast when he found Taehyung and Hoseok adding a large portrait painting in the main hall. The carpet had been removed and marble tiles had been placed in certain areas. He sighed as he approached them, the Alpha's small portrait was a spec of dust compared to the painting of the Master which he had painted long ago. Jungkook should have known Taehyung and Hoseok were going to redesign the whole mansion, he just didn't expect it would all happen over night.

The whole layout of the mansion had changed. They had moved furniture out, added floral decorations. Imported Earl Grey tea. And even prepared fresh ingredients for breakfast, it was evident from the basket of free-range eggs that were placed on the kitchen counter. "I won't even ask." Jungkook sighed as he walked away from the two. They tend to listen to his instructions very well, but when it came to the Master, they were really something else. Besides, he needed to start cooking in the kitchen.

Later when the Alpha and Luna had come for breakfast, it was clear with the Alpha's bewildered expression, Jungkook knew Yoongi felt like he wasn't waking up in his own home. "Master," Taehyung smiled. "Do you adore the portrait in the main hall? Butler Jeon had painted it in the last century. It was your favourite so I had it placed somewhere for all to see."

"Tae... you didn't have to..." Jimin laughed as he sipped on his tea. It was just the way he liked it, fragrant and hot. Jungkook knew since he trained them from the bow to the Master's every taste. Both likes and dislikes. It was engraved in Jungkook's mind. He knew everything about the Master. At least everything he should know.

"I simply couldn't sleep," Taehyung whined. "There is still a lot of work to do, but I will ensure you that everything will be to your liking by tomorrow when the marble flooring is finished."

"Tae." Jungkook interrupted, the two stepped over to the side away from the dining table. Taehyung's eyes were still on his Master. He knew what that meant, the comfort of things returning to the way they were supposed to. "Did you update the Master's schedule?"

"Yes of course." Taehyung smiled. "His schedule is quite packed now he is taking on Luna duties but I've already had them organised and sent the emails to the official's secretaries."

"And the Alpha's?" Jungkook added.

"Why do I need to update the Alpha's?" Taehyung frowned. It was times like this when Jimin's spoilt treatment towards the youngest butler would show. "We serve the Master."

"Tae we serve the Luna and the Alpha. Go prepare his schedule as well." Jungkook whispered. He was mindful of their tone, he didn't want to disturb the Master's pleasant breakfast. Luckily, the Alpha was there to distract him. Taehyung grounded his teeth and bowed before walking to the side to write down the alpha's schedule as instructed. Hoseok approach Jungkook swiftly, his eyes were easy to read. The head butler already knew what he was going to say. For the head butler to act differently, their senses were far too sensitive for that.

"Guk, isn't the schedule supposed to be your duty, why have you made Taehyung do this?" Hoseok asked. He was right. Hoseok managed the main mansion as well as a few of their business. While Taehyung managed the interior design of the mansion, the Master's garments, jewel's and their intensive research facilities. Jungkook managed all of the Master's personal affairs as well as the military. "I have a lot on my plate, Tae offered to help," Jungkook replied. Could they tell? The words that were lies slipping away into the open, were said like they were the truth. "Did you prepare the presentations for the meeting tomorrow?"

"Yes, I left them on the desk in the office," Hoseok said slowly. It seemed he hadn't caught on to Jungkook's intention. "If I could be of any more service let me know."

"Attend the meeting with them tomorrow," Jungkook ordered. "You will assist the Alpha, and Tae will assist Jimin."

"And you?"

"I will manage the estate."

"You have always been with Jimin for all his meetings." Hoseok pointed out. "Hasn't it always been this way?"

"So what do you think?" Jungkook asked as he unveiled the machine that was hidden in the box. They were in the pack laboratory, where only the Alpha and Luna had access to. This was the first step the Alpha needed to take before he was to become a vampire. He had to break the bond with his demon.

"It's smaller than I expected," Yoogni noted as he inspected the mechanism closely. "Did you make this?"

"The Master did. He made it before I met him." Jungkook mumbled quietly. "He believed if he became human it could help him end his life... But like all attempts, this failed him too."

Yoongi looked away, he didn't want to hear the bitter truth. "I sent Jimin away to tour Taehyung and Hoseok around the territory. We have until two in the afternoon before he returns for lunch." Yoongi laid down on the laboratory table. "It has to be now."

"Don't be so hasty," Jungkook warned. "Think about the process at least. We have to run the machine three times, each procedure would weaken the bond between you and your demon. Eventually, the bond would be weak enough for your demon to return to the spirit world. During this time, you would be 'human'. In this short period of time, you must be turned into a vampire so when your demon returns, he would take the form of a bat like all vampires."

Yoongi breathed in sharply. It seemed he had thought about this more than Jungkook thought he would. "Let's begin."

The head butler nodded as he began adding the wires to Yoongi's body, across his chest, and on his head. "You might feel some pain. But I believe it's something you can manage. Are you sure about this?"

"If I don't even hesitate, why should you, when it was you who brought this up?" Yoongi looked up at the ceiling, diverting his attention else were to strengthen his resolve. There must be fear somewhere no matter how well he tried to hide it.

"You know," Jungkook whispered. "Some times I think about all the time I've spent with him. And I realised, I must be no different from a demon, always by their Master's side. Never straying too far."

"I envy that," Yoongi said slowly. It surprised Jungkook to hear such honest words from the Alpha, especially if it were jealousy. "Even though I wouldn't be his butler. I wish I had that with him, staying by his side for all this time."

"You will." Jungkook smiled. Everything was falling beautifully in place. "You will be with him for hundreds of thousands of years, then you will not envy the one thousand years I was with him. Because one day, even that will be insignificant."
