With Markel:

The Lizard demon was making sure he didn’t get caught, following the Anglerfish demon down the street as he made his way towards a large glass building that was on the other side of the city.

Markel had made sure to disguise himself as a scientist, having stolen a lab coat and a pair of glasses from someone who worked at the science facility.

He had also stolen their keycard, although he was a Sungazer Lizard demon and the photo on the badge was that of a Frilled Lizard demon.

The Lizard demon just hoped that his disguise was alright, considering he was sneaking into a science facility so he could find something that could help him separate (Y/N) and Baxter.

Markel stopped walking and hid behind a corner, peeking out and watching as the Anglerfish demon entered the building.

Taking a deep breath and fixing his glasses, he walked over to the sliding glass doors and entered the large facility.

He was shocked by how large the building was, seeing that the lobby was larger and more open than he expected.

Markel shook his head, squinting his eyes because of how difficult it was to see with glasses he was not supposed to wear.

He scanned the crowd of many different scientists, looking for the familiar black lab coat that the Anglerfish demon wore.

Some were walking around while others were sitting and reading different science books.

The Lizard demon caught sight of several demons wearing black lab coats, but managed to spot the Anglerfish demon on the other side of the room.

The Lizard demon quickly made his way down the hall, picking up the pace when he saw Baxter entering an elevator.

Markel quickly managed to slip inside the elevator just as it was about to close, sighing in relief when he made it.

“Which floor?” asked the demoness closest to the elevator buttons.

Markel’s eyes widened when he realized she was talking to him.

“Uhh…” began Markel, but they had already made it to the third floor, the doors sliding open and allowing some demons to exit.

Markel perked up when he saw that Baxter was also getting off on the third floor.

“This is my stop, actually, but thanks for asking. I really appreciate it” said the Lizard demon, smiling politely as he got off, sweating nervously.

“Mhmm” hummed the demoness, going back to reading what she had written down on her clipboard just as the elevator doors closed.

Markel sighed in relief.

He turned and saw that he was on the Chemistry floor.

Each floor must have a specific scientific category.

And knowing the Anglerfish demon, he was more scientifically knowledgeable in Chemistry and Biology.

Markel glanced around the lobby of the floor and caught sight of Baxter walking over to the front desk.

Markel rushed over to an open seat and quickly picked up a random science magazine, opening it and pretending to read it.

He glanced up and saw that Baxter was speaking to the front desk demoness.

She appeared to be a Lionfish demoness, although she looked younger and shorter than Baxter.

Markel took a small handheld recording device out of his lab coat pocket and pushed the record button before using his tail to silently and stealthily flick it towards the front desk.
