these are harry potter imagines and one-shots. slip yourself into the shoes of the main character, and fall for those of your choice.
You're sitting in the headmistresses office, as McGonagall looks over your resume. It has been two years since you've graduated Hogwarts, and you're back applying for the position as the Herbology professor.
"Your previous time as a student here shows your knowledge in the subject, and your references are, well, to say the least... plenty." McGonagall looks at your stacks of paper, smiling.
"I'd hope that's a good thing Headmistress," you echo her smile, and she reaches to offer you a biscuit.
"We would be honoured to have you as the Herbology professor, y/n. I'm sure some of the younger students may recognise you, and they might be able to relate to you a little more than they do any with their other professors." She tucks your file into one of the organised stacks on her desk, with a wave of her wand.
"You'd also be watching over the Hufflepuff students, if that's not too much on your shoulders."
You reassure her that it wouldn't be a problem, that you'd be happy to help in anyway you can.
"One more question," McGonagall leans forward and you nod.
"I trust that you and Remus won't be an issue?"
"A lot changes in two years, respectfully, I've grown." You glance around the room, happy to be back, to help other students fulfill their curiosity about magic.
"I can definitely see that y/n," her eyes twinkle as McGonagall stands, ready to show you where you'll be lodging for the year with the other professors.

You sit on the edge of your bed, chuckling. Being back in the castle brings back a lot of memories.
You glide your hands over the sheets of your bed, and decide to head to the kitchen to make a cup of your favourite tea.
The students haven't arrived to the school yet, but to give everyone the time to settle in and plant themselves in their new spaces and classrooms, they arrived a couple of weeks earlier.
You've wandered into the Hufflepuff common room on more than one occasion to take care of the plants thriving in the corners of the room, and make sure the rooms would be comforting to the students.
You've spent most of the time in your classroom, talking to a couple of the other Professors you grew to love in your time as a student.
And tonight, with your tea, you're wandering the hallways. Everything is quiet, and some might find it eerie, but oddly enough, you find it comforting.
