Harry left Ginny in order to go and continue his search for remaining horcruxes in his seventh year.

While he is gone, you are Ginny Weasley's solace and her only saving grace. You are always there for her when Harry messes up in some way, and your heart falls when her tears do as well.

You comfort her, and try to give as much advice as you can manage to muster.

It isn't that you hate Harry- no one can truly hate him. You just aren't happy with the choices he chooses to make, but you do understand how Ginny feels.

She wants to help him, but he doesn't think she is capable, and that's exactly how she feels about him, and the entire situation. You know she is capable- hell, with an attitude like her's she can take over the world.

While Harry pushes her away to go off hunting by himself, Ron and Hermione persist, never taking no as an answer. He takes his two best friends- and leaves Ginny, no matter how hard she fights to go with him.

You know it is ultimately to protect her, but it is hurting her more than anything to be shunned by him.

Even in his most selfless acts, they have big impacts, impacts he is never around to see.

You and Ginny are both in year 6, and getting ready to start up Dumbledore's Army once more.

She stands, glancing into the mirror- her eyes narrowing, and her red fiery hair -which matches her spirit and determination- is tucked into a bun, as she strides around the room, and makes sure everything is intact and safe.

"Don't worry Ginny. You'll be great." You send her a smile, and she takes a deep breath.

"Honestly, I'm glad Neville and Luna will me helping out, or I'd be a bloody mess right now. Even Fred and George offered to stop by occasionally." She watches as the metal frames of a Death Eater pops into place, and smiles.

"Even though they are both arses- it makes me relieved to have both of them here over the holidays and when they get a break from their shop." She laces around the room again, and it always comes with changing features.

"It is always nice to have something familiar." You share her smile, and she keeps walking.

"When are we going to set up a meeting? And where?" You raises an eyebrow, and Ginny shrugs her shoulders.

"I'm not sure y/n, but we will talk with Neville, Luna, and my brothers and try to figure something out." Her brown eyes meet yours and she offers a hopeful smile.

"We will be okay Gin, and you know that." You encourage her as well, the two of you finding comfort in each other's courage and the occasional optimism.

"You're right y/n. You're always right." She smiles, her face glowing.

"Tonight, at dinner, shouldn't we discuss some of the spells we're going to teach everyone?" You ask, and Ginny heads for you- shaking her head.

"Before, I know it would be easy to talk about these things- but y/n- Death Eaters are teachers at our school- and Snape is Headmaster. We will have to do it in the common room."

You sigh, face palming yourself for a moment of forgetfulness. "I totally forgot... oh my god. I don't know how this happened, I was just talking to you, and got caught up in the moment and in your e--"

Ginny smiles, reaching a hand out to cut you off as you ramble. "It's fine-
y/n. I wish I could forget as easily as you can."

"I'm sorry. I'll- wow. That was a very ass move."

Ginny does not laugh, but offers a hopeful smile, "soon, we won't be in this situation anymore. Harry..." her voice falters at his name as you walk, and the sound makes your stomach drop.
