Harry and Hermione turn to you with concerning eyes. "Y/n, what's really bothering you? We've noticed you've been acting rather different these past couple of weeks."

Hermione states with a soft tone, reaching to grab you in a quick hug, letting you know softly that you can trust her. Of course you can, there's no two other people you'd trust.

Except for... well, him.

Ron wanders into the kitchen area of the tent, yawning and wiping at his eyes.

"I'll tell you guys after dinner, alright? Let's just focus on what we're going to do with the horcrux," You drop your voice to a whisper, and both Harry and Hermione share a look before nodding.

On the table in front of you sits the sought after Slytherin locket.

"I've been reading extensively about destroying horcruxes, but I haven't come across anything that could help us with it." Ron pulls a chair out, giving a silent greeting to everyone, his arm still tossed in a sling.

The four of you have been on the search for the horcruxes ever since you've become aware of their existence. This one, however, has been the trickiest of them all to find.

You guys managed to find out that Regulus Black had taken the horcrux from the crystal cave, with the intent to destroy it. When he couldn't figure out how, even with the help of his house-elf Kreacher, he kept it well hidden in 12 Grimmauld place.

It has been a hassle to find Mundungus Fletcher, and an even bigger disappointment to grasp that he had given it to Umbridge, in the form of bribery.

Harry and Hermione always paired off together, and you and Ron didn't mind working with the other. You always had a brilliant plan in mind, decorated with multiple outcomes, and Ron admired that, following through with what you needed easily.

That meant spending a lot of time together, in compromising situations, and spending long nights going over your portion of the plans - and what to do incase someone manages to get caught or in trouble.

You smile, remembering every time Ron's eyes would slowly fall over the candlelight, you would nudge him awake, and he'd pretend to have been listening to every single word you said. Eventually, you learned to fuel him on caffeine and different variants of sugar-filled food. It worked like a charm to keep him awake, and he was always in a pleasant mood to be around.

He often worried about how you were doing during each outing, and would ask multiple times what you needed, if you needed anything more, how he could go beyond the plan and help you.

You didn't let him know, but those questions made you care for him in ways you didn't know possible. Plus, it didn't hurt that he always kept a couple snacks for the two of you to share in your moments alone.

Harry and Hermione are again digging through a long pile of books, while you work around in the tent, making a pot of tea for everyone to enjoy. You set the cups down, and Ron smiles up at you.

"Can I help you with dinner?"

"Only if you promise not to burn anything again," you laugh, and he fakes a frown.
