"This summer is going to be so exciting, y/n!" Ginny comes running through the common room with her luggage following behind her.
You wave your wand and a pile of books float pleasantly back into your trunk by the edge of your bed.
"I know Ginny. I can't believe my parents are letting me spend the entire summer at the Burrow." You meet her smile, reaching forward to grab another suitcase.
"It took an arse-load of convincing, but we did it! Besides, mum and dad won't mind if they pop in for a visit every once in a while." She begins to toss her hair up, humming now with the news.
"Everyone is just so excited to be having you over," she plagues again and you chuckle.
"Even Percy?"
"Some damn how, you're the only person who can hold down a friendship with every single member of the Weasley family." She smiles back, and satisified you stand up.
"It's just easier to get along with everyone. Percy does have his moments I'll admit." You nod your head, and join the mass hoard of students filing by the fire.
She chuckles under her breath and the two of you slowly slide from your side conversation.
You wave at a couple of other students, drawing in a conversation with laughter.
You're talking with a bunch of Ravenclaw students along the Great Hall, and happen to catch the eyes of Fred and George.
You give them a small wave, and Fred nudges George with a wide smile.
You chuckle, and wonder how you got lucky enough to spend an entire summer with a variety of your best friends?
Ron is always preoccupied with Harry, and you're sure he'll end up coming to visit at the Burrow as well at some point.
Either way, the entire summer is going to be exciting and eccentric.
The summer is going to be filled with pranks with Fred and George, singing with Molly as you help with chores. Holding long conversations with Percy has always been a delight, pitching quidditch with Ginny, and helping Bill decorate his new cottage.
On the time Arthur is off you'll scrape him with laughter and muggle stories. You and Ron will compete to see who can recite wizarding tales perfectly, eat a large amount of chocolate frogs and pumpkin pasties, and discuss his wavering crush on Hermione.
As you tap your feet against the floor you're unsure as to whether Charlie will be attending at all in the duration.
"It would be lovely to see him again." You nod your head, whispering quickly to yourself and surveying the area.
You hadn't seen Charlie in a few years, but the two of you have always kept in touch by writing letters.
Ron has joked that he writes more to you than to Arthur and Molly. When he does, he braces himself for a swift slap with some form of a solid object.
