R E Q U E S T E D

"Leah, why don't you give Draco a chance? You two would be a couple of aesthetics brought together," a third year bounces into the common room, sliding next to you.

"Aesthetic?" You give a little snort, and she smiles nodding her head more than enthusiastically.

You watch as she spreads her arm our as she speaks, her eyes glossing over as she whispers the word, "beauty."

Your eyes roll back quickly, and you make sure the third year doesn't miss it. "That's very shallow," you sigh.

"Well, it is true. You two would be a power couple. Tumblr would worship you two," her glossy eyes widen as she thinks about the thought.

"Look, I don't know this Tumblr thing is, or why everyone is suggesting I date the ferret, because for a fact I don't even have a smidge of respect for him." You walk away from the third year already fuming.

You definitely are not the biggest fan of Draco Malfoy, infact you can hardly remain civil to him when in passing.

All the things he's done to your friends: the things he said to Hermione, Harry, Ron and yourself are not forgivable.

You'd betray them all if you even cast a smile toward him.

"Are you blighted? He's head over heels for you," the third year persists and you turn around with narrowing eyes.

"Then tell me why he's bullying everyone?" Your arms cross but the girl's excitement doesn't waver.

"He's only bullying YOU because he likes you." She gives a little squeal and you scoff at the naive girl.

"Listen, I'm only going to say this once. I'm not vainly interested in Draco Malfoy, and if you think someone bullies other people because they like them, and they don't know how to act- you really need some help."

Her mouth opens to rebuttal and you hold your hand up. "Look, if you ever so as make a squeak, I will get my father in here. I'm not afraid to use his influence, and he's not afraid to help me." You brush back a lock of your stranded brown hair, sneering before storming out of the common room.

You immediately run down the corridor searching for the three friends you hold dear and would defend with your life.

You know they could be anywhere in this building, eating (which Ron usually was), Hogsmeade, the Astronomy tower, their common room, the library or the dining hall.

It takes you a while, but eventually you find your friends, in the girl's bathroom chatting with Moaning Myrtle.

You give a little knock to let them know you're entering, and they all greet you with laughter.

"Hey, Leah."

"Hi L!" Harry bounces over, smiling.

When you first came to Hogwarts you already knew your Father's reputation, and that frightened you.

For that reason, it left you scared. Scared that no one would want to be your friends, that no one approached you. So, on the train ride there, you had tried to find a compartment all to yourself.

Unfortunately a boy with glasses and oversized clothes, a girl with large, frizzed hair and kind eyes, and a boy with red hair, a chocolate frog in his hand invited you to sit with them.

They did not question once you revealed your last name. It didn't seem to bother them the least bit.

And even today, they don't hold your Father's attitude over you.
