Doc knew even his very presence here was risky.

It was the second time him and Marty were in the year 1955. After returning to a dilapidated Hell Valley in a Biff-dystopian 1985, Doc and Marty had to return to 1955 to make things right. But they had to remember that their second time-traveling trip was even more dangerous than it was the first time, being that there were now 2 Docs and 2 Martys here. Doc had just advised Marty to be extremely precarious on his mission; the very sight of greeting his other self face-to-face could very possibly tear the fabric of the space-time continuum up into shreds. The mere thought of it wanted to make Doc shiver.

So when Doc Brown went into town the fateful night of November 12th, 1955 (again), he internally thanked himself for having on a hat and a jacket. No one would identify his face, therefore keeping his identity a secret. As for Marty, Doc advised him to be 'inconspicuous': Marty carried a pair of binoculars, along with some shady sunglasses, a leather jacket, and a red shirt (which he felt like he had literally been wearing for years). Both only hoped that they would conceal their presence here in 1955 and cause a minimal impact less than they already had.

As Doc ventured out into the town, he briefly paused for a moment to catch a breath of air. But even before that, something else caught his attention. My 'weather experiment!'

To be fair, that was what it was known as to the general public. But both him and his 1955 counterpart knew what this project would entail. It, in fact, was not a weather experiment, but was rather a devise to send Marty back to the future. Doc gasped and stared at the sight; It was all too familiar. "Great Scott..." he mumbled, before carefully sneaking over to the right side of the DeLorean. Time travel had technically made this happen today, but to Doc's 1985 self, this was only a distant memory of the past. Yet, in his mind, things were the exact same way as he left. Time travel really was peculiar like that.

He checked out the underneath of the car to insure that this was the 'experiment.' More or less to his surprise, it was the DeLorean, all prepared and ready for the night's venture. Of course! He smacked his forehead for his foolish thinking.

Doc began to feel quite uneasy. If the car was out now... what could that mean? There could very possibly be himself nearby. Thoughts of abolishing their current mission was in the forefront of Doc's mind as he internally wrestled with the situation.

Suddenly, Marty picked back up on walkie-talkie, calling for help from Doc. "Yo, Doc— Doc, come in!" He hushed loudly into phone. He wanted to update the Doc of his whereabouts, thereby breaking Doc out of his chain-of-thoughts.

"Marty, what happened to you?" Doc asked. He felt relieved to hear his friend's voice again, but was still panicked with the layout of the current events. "I went to Biff's house and you weren't there!"

"You must've just missed me!" Marty explained. Doc could faintly hear some cars and some music in the background. "I'm in the back of Biff's car. He's on his way to the Enchantment Under the Sea dance."

Good lord, what trouble has the boy gotten into now? Marty's presence in the car of Biff Tannen made Doc nauseous; there was simply too much at stake there. But more importantly— the dance! Marty's other self was still at the dance, and it was vitally important for Marty to maintain his composure and remain extremely cautious. There was no place for mistakes to be made tonight.

Doctor Brown emphasized his thoughts aloud. "Listen, Marty, we may have to abort this entire plan," he informed him. "It's getting much too dangerous!"

"Don't worry, Doc. The book is on Biff's dashboard," Marty reassured him, a sense of confidence raging through his body. "I'll grab it as soon as I get to the school!"
