"What are you, chicken?" Needles and his gang sneered at Marty, laughing hysterically. Marty's blood boiled; it always had whenever someone had called him a chicken. He hated being goaded into dares (most of which got him in trouble), but couldn't help it; he always had the tendency to prove to people that he wasn't a chicken. And today, Marty would finally prove everybody wrong. Today was the day he would be breaking into the local crackpot's lab, also known as Doctor Brown's lab.

The fourteen year old gave needles a fierce look. "Okay, Needles, I'll go inside and get something from the lab. I'm not a chicken." Needles and his cronies only howled with laughter in response, clucking like chickens. Marty's fists balled up and he sucked his breath, but ignored it and advanced towards the garage instead.

Okay, this is it. Marty thought to himself, swallowing nervously and entering the man's garage. You can do this, McFly. Marty cautiously switched on a light, and much to his relief, nobody was inside.    Upon first glances, though,  the place was definitely... very unorganized, to say the least. It was like someone had broken in and trashed the place. At least he could easily find something to show Needles.

Marty carefully took a few steps forwards, looking for something he could find. However, nothing in sight was actually appealing to the boy. Internally, he sighed. Great. Now he would be branded as an even bigger coward because his friends would say he was too scared to go inside.

Marty entered another room. As soon as he did, a dog started to bark at him loudly, nearly giving Marty a heart attack. Marty jumped and scowled at the dog, his heart beating ten billion times per second. "Quiet, boy!" Marty whispered angrily, but the dog only cocked his head and continued to bark.

To make matters worse, the door started to open as a result of the barking.  Marty's eyes opened wide as he heard the door creek open, searching around furiously for a place to hide. However, it was too late, and Marty was interrupted by the sound of an older man clearing his throat.

Marty slowly turned around as The Doctor titled his head. "Excuse me-?" The Doctor began to ask, lifting an eyebrow, but Marty interrupted his sentence to explain profusely.

"Oh! Sir, doctor..! It's not what it looks like!" Marty said in a desperate attempt to express his situation. "I can explain! You see, this, uh, group of people- my friends- kept bothering me by calling me 'chicken' and the only way to make them stop was to go in here. I didn't want to-! I promise! They kept telling me I had to bring back something as proof and, I'm really sorry sir. I didn't want to come in here. I'm sorry. I didn't touch anything. I'll leave, if you want me too."

The doctor shook his head with a somewhat disappointed expression on his face. "No, I don't think that'll be necessary." He sighed and thought for a minute. "Well, it's okay, as long as you weren't trying to break anything, and you weren't so take my word. While you're here however, would you help me clean this lab up? I've been meaning to hire someone for days, but I've been so busy with my work I haven't had time. I promise nothing is bio hazardous."

Marty hesitated for a minute before responding. Biohazard? But the doctor did seem harmless, and he was definitely willing to help out if it meant making up. "Okay," He replied, and off to work they went.

"You start with cleaning the other side of the room." Doctor Brown instructed Marty. "Mostly everything over there is junk, so you can just discard it in this pile right here." The Doc pointed to a pile of what appeared to be dismembered car parts. "I'll start on this side here."

Quietly Marty and Doctor Brown started picking up items off the floor and organizing them. Marty was interested in what these items were, but didn't question, knowing The Doc knew a lot of information. A minute passed, and, the doctor decided to ask Marty a question.
