He's got so much in his heart

But he doesn't know what to do

All he wants is her

HARRY

ONE AND A HALF MONTHS LATER

"Well, your fracture healed wonderfully, we can go ahead and remove the cast." Dr. Gonzalez states, applauding twice firmly before walking outside of the office to retrieve the saw to get the red cast off of my arm.

Luna had my right thumb broken, along with a few ribs and my ring finger, but luckily my bones healed quickly and I only needed a cast for my thumb since it wouldn't heal in a finger splint like my ring finger.

She had figured out that Bentley and I were working together, and didn't like it one bit. Thanks to Niall, she couldn't locate Emmy, so she was fine, but I haven't been able to speak to her since.

I had Zayn send her a message from a burner that made it look like it was me, and told her that I'd be on an extended business trip, so I can't reach out as much.

It was hard, but not impossible, because I knew she was okay.

A lot has happened in the past few weeks.

For starters, Luna burned down Bentley's repair shop. I wasn't here for the aftermath because I was being held and tortured in place of Emma Leigh. I wasn't in Madrid though, I was in the same place they always took me.

Three days, that's how long I was in the dreary tiled room. I looked like I was about to die when I came out of there, especially considering Bruce and Oscar weren't the ones doing the damage. It was two other guys, and I didn't even bother giving them nicknames. The throbbing in my head prevented any of that from happening.

Complete anguish, that's what it was. I knew that they had gotten to Bentley, but it wasn't until they let me go and I walked past the rubble that was the old repair shop that I realized the extent Luna had gone to.

Her black Mustang was gone, everything was gone... up in flames and useless. So useless to her, she sold the property rights to the city, took all the money they offered and didn't think about it again. She had been distant lately.

We hadn't slept in the same bed together since that morning. Fuck, we hadn't slept together period. Barely a kiss here and there but it wasn't like we used to be. So touchy... so open...

She had gone through something really traumatic and her coping mechanisms were all over the place. She did a lot of journaling, at least that's what I think she was doing considering there were now two notebooks instead of one on her nightstand. She had started chewing more nicotine gum, too. She had broken down apologizing to Allegra for smoking a cigarette, but the last thing we expected to hear was that Luna had forced it on her.

She had a few scratches on her temple when I first saw her from how hard her head had been shoved into the pavement. Luna had lit the trail of gasoline with the dull flame of the cigarette, and I was certain she blamed herself. Whatever Luna had said to her had stuck but I think Rumer and the rest of us had done a good job of being there for her.

She hasn't raced, especially considering she retired the Pontiac altogether. It was officially the last thing she had left of her father, and if she lost that... I think she'd lose herself. Races were back and the Kings were dominating. I could tell she itched to grab the wheel but she couldn't do it... I knew she wasn't attached to the Mustang the way I'm attached to Arlo, but fuck, losing something you put so much work into had to be tough.
