CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR

He stiffens as soon as i wrap my hand around him from behind. For reasons quite unknown to me, I feel really guilty. You can't blame me for panicking. I think I left more out of embarrassment than anger.

"I'm sorry" I mumble against his back rubbing his abs in the process. He turns to me.

"Don't apologize Nala. The choice is all yours" He says gently as he continues moving around the room to get dressed for the day.

"We can try again?" It was more of a question directed to me than to him. Do i really want to try again. I'll panic again, it's what i know.

"No Nala. Don't force yourself" He kisses my cheek before leaving the room.

I'm doing everything slowly because of how bad I feel. I have my bath and get dressed. I put on a short skirt and a top and I pack my hair in a bun.

"Merry Christmas!" Viv screams as soon as i walk down the stairs. I smile at her.

"Merry Christmas to you too" I hug her swiftly.

"What's wrong? You don't look excited" She asks.

"I think Don hates me now" Viv starts laughing and i mean she laughs so hard that if I am not feeling so terrible I would join her.

"What's so funny?" I raise my brow at her.

"Why would you think he hates you? He adores you Nala. He can't hate you" She says moving closer to me before she sits down as I do the same.

"We almost you know and I panicked real bad!" I exclaim making it look so dramatic.

"Why did you panic?" She asks smiling.

"I don't know? I've never been that intimate with anybody and I don't know I just panicked" I sigh.

"You don't have to feel so guilty. I'm sure he understands you just aren't ready to get that intimate with him" She says shifting in her seat so she can get closer to me.

"But I do feel guilty. I feel so bad for hurting him" I am almost in tears. I really don't why the moon goddess made me such an emotional person.

"Don is just, you know embarrassed you turned him down" Viv says smiling. She really finds this funny.

"Maybe i shouldn't have panicked!" Arrgh...stupid, stupid, stupid...

"Don't beat yourself up over this. Besides it's time Don learnt how to work for what he wants" Viv says.

"Thanks so much" I hugged her rather tightly.

"Well since we have that settled let's go shopping. The guys are going to kill us if we don't get them anything" She says dragging me along with her, leaving me no other option but to follow. I am planning to get Don something when we get back, because I don't have any money here.

"Ahem Viv..." I try talking to her but she is too excited to get to the mall.

Viv keeps picking different gifts while I just smile at her choices. "Why don't you have

any gifts?" She asks with a raised brow. I smile kinda embarrassed.

"I don't have any money" I say quietly.

"Are you kidding?! Just pick whatever gifts you want okay?" She says smiling at me.

"Thanks but...."
