When I woke up that morning, I noticed Don was still in the room. I wondered why he was still at home.

"Morning, "he said, and I frowned at him.

"Why are you still at home?" I questioned.

"I wanted to tell you myself," he explained. Now, I was confused.

"What?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.

"I have to travel today." Why was he just telling me this now? I was going to be alone now.

"Why? What's wrong?"I asked, already panicking.

"Calm down, Nala, there is a fight between our packs, that's all."

What if he died? If he didn't come back, I would be alone forever.

"Nala, Nala," Don said, tapping me.

"Sorry..... Do you have to be there?" I asked, hoping he could back out.

"Yes, Nala, I have to be there. I'll be back in a week. There is nothing to worry about." He moved closer to the bed and held my hands.

"Nala, you'll be fine. You can go out with your friends, okay?" I  nodded, and he pecked me on my lips and went out of the room. You probably won't know this, but my stomach had just done a backflip.

I had my bath and dressed up. I put on a jumpsuit. Ben took me to school as usual. Immediately after I got to school, I ran to my friends.

"Hello, guys," I said, not able to contain my happiness.

"Why do you look so happy?" Kieran asked.

"Nothing. Do I look different?" I looked down at myself but didn't see any difference.

"There is a glow," Sheldon explained.

"Did you finally have sex?" Willow whispered.

"Jeez.. Guys, no, that didn't happen" I said in shock.

"Well, it will," Willow said.

"Not soon," I said.

"Well, I just wanted to tell you guys that Don is traveling, and I don't know what to do."

"Go out for fun?" Dash said, more like a question.

"Okay, any other ideas?" I asked, and none of them said a word. Now what's wrong?

"Why are you happy he's traveling? I thought you loved him," Sheldon said. My eyes widened in shock.

"Really?! Shelly!" I exclaimed.

"Don't escape this topic, young lady," Willow said.

"I don't know, guys, Don still scares me. He doesn't shout and stuff anymore. I'm just scared he is going to shout if I did something wrong he doesn't like. Besides, Jordan..."

"Don't go there, Nala. I'm sure you love Don. You're just looking for an excuse not to love him," Shelly said.

"I still like Jordan," I confessed, and Willow gave me a questioning look.

"Fine, I don't love him, but I have the feeling we can work things out and be happy together. Don is..."

"Nala, you know what you want, you're just too scared to take risks; you have to if you really want to be happy," Dash said.

"I don't know. I'm confused." I sighed.

"There is nothing to be confused about," Kieran said.

"Just think well. Jordan isn't worth it, okay?" Sheldon said, and I nodded.

"Thanks, guys. Group hug." I smiled and we all hugged. What would I do without my friends?

I smiled as I thought about Don. He was hot. I guess I could say caring. He was definitely over protective, which I liked and disliked. I didn't like the fact that he controlled me, but I thought it was cute that he didn't want to lose me. As I walked to class, Jordan approached me with a smile I had to return. I really wanted to hate Jordan for what he did to me, but I just couldn't hate him. I had no idea why. He was my first love. I think I still had feelings for him, but I would make sure nothing happens between us.

"Would you like to go out with me?" he asked, and I flashed a fake smile. Okay, Nala, this is your time to tell him off.

"Sure, sure, why not?" I said before I realized what I just did. Way to go, Nala, now he will think you still love him. He smiled at me, and I felt guilty all of a sudden. Why couldn't I just tell him no and be free.

I'll pick you up," he said. I wanted to tell him not to come to Don's house, but he had already left. I went for my classes. I tried my best to listen in class, but I couldn't. I received a text from Jordan telling me to be ready at seven.
