CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

Why the hell did I just say that? Do I really want to be marked by Don now? I don't know. I don't think I'm ready but Don has waited long enough. It's been almost a year since he found me and he hasn't marked me. He deserves it. I don't want to be the reason why the throne will be taken from him. I'm trying my best not to panic but I don't think it is working. Don pulls me closer kissing my hair.

"Don't panic baby. I'm not going to mark you until I'm sure you're ready" he says. I feel so guilty right now.

"Don. You've waited long enough. I don't want to be the reason why the throne is taken from you" I said sadly. He smiles.

"My father can't give the throne to anybody. He is too much of a greedy man to let the throne leave his name. He just wants to be sure he'll have an heir after me" Don says. Now I also have to mate with him.

"No need to panic baby. Everything we do will be at your pace" He says. I am going to talk but he beats me to it.

"You need to rest. Tomorrow is going to be a long day" Don doesn't let me sleep until he kisses me.

I feel like someone is watching me. I open my eyes slowly only to see Don smiling down at me. It takes everything in me not to close my eyes and fall back asleep.

"Morning sunshine," he says. The shade on my cheeks became red instantly.

"Morning to you too," I say. I walk around the room for a while before I go to the bathroom.

"Oh gosh, you scared me!" I shout as soon as I came out of the bathroom to meet Don by the door.

Don only pulls me closer for a kiss.

"I have a long day today Don," I say trying to wiggle out of his hold.

"Don!" I scold when he isn't leaving me. He mumbles quietly before releasing me.

I proceed into the closet to pick my dress. I come out to see Don still standing where I left him.

"You look so sexy," he says. Don just has his way of exaggerating things. I'm not in anything special. I'm in a plain white shirt and jeans with a pair of sandals. Nothing more.

"As much as I want to stay here with you, I can't" I kiss his cheek as I take my leave.

"I have a question," I say, turning back as I enter the room.

"And that is?" He asks.

"Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I don't see any decorations" I point out.

"We don't celebrate Christmas here," He says taking a deep breath. His mood suddenly changes.

"What? Why not?  I love Christmas so much" I say dramatically. He gives me a little smile.

"We can do this here" he suggests.

"Really. You'll do that for me" I say, tearing up. Don laughs at me for being dramatic.

"See you later baby," he says before kissing me.

"Morning!" The loud cheery voice of my newfound friend was across the room causing me to smile.

"Morning Viv," I say. Vivian looks so beautiful today. She is in a white off-shoulder top and a short skirt. Her hair is packed in a ponytail.

"You look so beautiful today," I say smiling down at her outfit.

"So do you," she says.

The cloth she is wearing makes Carson's mark so obvious.

"Oh. Beautiful isn't it?" She asks. She catches me staring at her mark. I'll like to have one too.

"Trust me Don is going to mark you too. He just wants you to be happy" Vivian says and I nodded.

"I don't even know if I'm ready but I know I really want his mark".

"You'll get yours soon," Viv says with a smile.

"Don tells me Christmas isn't celebrated here," I say. Viv gives a sad smile.

"Well, he says we could celebrate this here," I say smiling.

"Really? Wow. Everybody will be so happy to hear this" Vivian says standing up. I follow her. It looks like we are going outside. Viv keeps on greeting everyone with a smile as people stare at me weirdly.

"Morning everyone," she says. People gathered in no time.

"As you all know Christmas hasn't been celebrated since the tragic incident that took place but this year is going to be different because we are celebrating Christmas!!" She says. Everybody claps and chats happily.

"I'll like us all to get to work and get the decorations ready," she says. Everybody leaves.

"That was easy," I say smiling.

"The perks of been beta female," she says with a smile.

"You said something about a tragic incident. What's that?" I questioned her. She takes a deep breath.

"Let's help in getting the decorations and I'll tell you".

While we are getting the decorations ready we realize there isn't a tree.

"Let's get one," I say.

Vivian and I go to the nearby Human Shop to get the tree.

"You've been avoiding the topic Viv just tell me," I say sadly as the tree is been taken to the car by one of the warriors that followed us. Vivian looks at the warriors behind me. I understand what she means. She doesn't want to talk about it here.

As soon as we are home I drag her to a room.

"Spill it" I say.

"Natasha died on Christmas," she says. Who is Natasha and why is she so important. I rose my eyebrows in confusion.

"Guessing from your look you don't know who Natasha is" I nod.

"She was Don's mate before you. She was such a lively human girl. Unfortunately, she didn't get to be with her mate for long. She died only six months after they met." Vivian says.

"Why is he allowing a celebration?" I ask confused.

"You are his mate now. He wants you to be happy". Vivian says wiggling her eyebrows making her smile.

"Is Kim always like this?" I ask. Viv rolled her eyes.

"Nobody likes her. I have no idea why Don still lets her stay" Viv says.

"She can change," I said.

"Change can't happen when Don is involved. If she doesn't have Don she won't stop"

"She can't have him and she needs someone to make her understand"

Okay. That is my wolf speaking. I am never this bold about how I feel about Don. Vivian smiles.

"It's normal to be possessive about him. Don is too much in love with you to upset you".

"I know," I say, smiling.

Vivian and I talk throughout. We can't finish the decorations so we decide to finish the decorations tomorrow and on Christmas, we'll all have dinner.
