CHAPTER THIRTY
Edited
"Wish me luck." I am grinning, but if I am asked why I am sure I have no answer to that.
"You don't need it, baby. I know you will nail it." Don kisses my hair with a smile.
I am really nervous. Today is my final exam and I really want to do well. I want to make my mum proud. Since Don and I talk and we have been great, I call my mum more often and she tells me how happy she is that things have finally worked out with Don and me. She also says I have to accept Jordan's rejection before it is too late.
"What's on your mind, baby?" Don asks in concern, which only made me blush. I am really lucky to have him.
"Nothing you should be worried about." I kiss him before sitting at the table to eat breakfast.
"Eat a little more meat," Don says with a frown. He always complains about how small I am.
"No, Donald. I'm satiated already." I stand up and kiss him with a smile. He frowns when he realizes he has lost and can't make me eat anymore.
"You win this time, Nala," he says, standing up and wrapping his hands around my waist.
"You say that all the time." I smile.
"Let's hurry before I'm the cause of you missing your final exams," he says.
"Ok." I hike my bag up with a smile.
"Ready when you are." Don smiles.
"Ready!" I shout.
"Make me proud, baby," Don says, in school.
"I will, I promise," I return.
"I know you will." He kisses me before hugging me.
"I'll get you after the exams, so wait for me, okay?" he says.
"Sure." I grin.
"Good luck."
"Thank you." I run out of the car.
"How is our baby doing?" Sheldon asks with a smile.
"One, I'm not a baby. Two, I'm great," I say, smiling. I remember that morning and couldn't help but blush.
"And why are you blushing?" Willow asks.
"No, no, nothing. Good luck," I say, running off to avoid further questions.
"Wait up!" I know that voice. Jordan. What does he want from me? My exams went great. I just hope for the best when I see the results. I think it is best to talk to Jordan and finally accept his rejection.
"What?" I ask with a frown.
"Nala, we're leaving school soon and you still won't let me talk to you. Why are you avoiding the mate pull?" he asks.
"There is no mate pull. There was none since you decide to reject me!" I shout. Okay, now I have no idea why I was shouting. Maybe because I have never really had anybody to talk to about Jordan. I mean, I still love him and at the same time, I know I love Don more. I am just confused. I definitely can't tell my friends. They would just tell me how stupid it is to have second thoughts when I am sure I love Donald.
"Nala, if you're sure there is no mate pull, kiss me," he demands. Was he joking? Kiss him. I can't. I love Donald. Although, it won't hurt to find out if I still loved him.
