I left Fisokuhles' house early that day, as I promised myself. We have broken up for a month now and I wont lie I miss him, I miss the long phone calls I would have with him and now every time I am off I get bored I don't know what to do with myself so I was working throughout I avoided taking days off, I am off for the next four days I have decided to go to my parents house. I missed them I haven't seen them for months. I arrived here in the morning and ma is taking me shopping because shopping is therapy and it will heal me from whatever that is eating me up. This is just a trick by her to find out what's going on with me. Apparently I have lost weight and I look more tired than ever, she even suspects I am pregnant. One thing I do know is I am not pregnant I have been too careful so there is no way, the moment there are changes in your body the elders think you are pregnant.

"What's eating you up?" She asks finally. "Nothing ma I promise I am fine I just work extra hard which is why I look tired and drained." This is partially true. "Okay I hear your excuses I hope you are done, because I want to know what's bothering my only daughter." She says. "Ei ma I was seeing someone and things didn't end well." I say informing her. "Oh okay heart break is eating you up. I see who is this guy?" She asks. "You don't want to know I am over him, Oh I think I like these shoes." I say trying end the conversation and yes these are some heels. I don't like wearing heels I like having them in my display. I wear them occasionally because I usually cant walk in them.

"Mhhh you must have loved this guy, look at you. You look horrible when last did you get your hair done? Nails?" She asks. Okay she is right my hair looks horrible, I last cut my hair and I haven't done anything to style it and now it has grown and it needs me take care of this small afro that's growing. I just wash it and have on a head scarf because I am lazy to comb it. My nails well mom is playing with me I don't do my hair why is she bringing that up? "Ma you know very well that I do my nails." I say. She pushes the trolly filled with groceries. "I know but maybe its about time you try them, try the short ones first I just know you will look great in which ones lets go to the salon." She says, okay my mom can be a bit extreme. I follow her and we get to the salon and she chooses the nails for me and the color.

I fought for which hair style I want I just did some dread faux locks and I look decent no I look great. I feel great I see why a lot of women like switching up their looks every now and then. This feels great like you are a new person. I love the nails she picked but the pain isn't worth it. I would rather stick to painting them, this feels uncomfortable, but they look great. I feel like we need to pick new clothes, my dad will pay of course. "Look at you, Nele you look beautiful." She compliments me. I feel good.

"Thanks ma for this I needed it." I thank her. I am hungry now, but I am not ready to betray my values so she knows we will eat ekasi, and I am craving kota seriously. We shop for more clothes, and I have had enough for the day. She drives us home and stops at the kota house I usually buy my kotas from. "You will find me at home I wont wait." She says, she hates being here for some reason. I get out the car and greet the people there I place my order some of the people here I know them we went to school together and some I don't, the ones I know they start telling me about people we went to school with, they tell me who has a baby who is getting married, who died. All that we are catching up.

When Tumelo appeared he has grown wow, he is wearing a tight vest that shows off his muscles, he now has tattoos and he looks amazing, he wasn't this hot while we were dating. He greets and stares at me seductively, and I feel my panties get flooded. They give me my order, I want to ignore him he is bad news. I walk home and I see him behind me. I try to walk faster.

"Yoh I didn't know if my eyes were deceiving me or not, but I know they weren't because wow you look ravishing." He compliments me in his broken Zulu I laugh at it because his Zulu is ridiculous for someone who grew up in the township that is Zulu dominated.. "I told you to stop with your broken Zulu you embarrassing yourself." I say, he smiles. "I know but I wanted to hear your laugh." He says in Sotho attempting to charm me. I cant stop myself from blushing he always had this effect on me.
