My parents just left me alone, they are going to break fast with some of their friends, knowing my parents they will come back at night. They this tendency to leave and say they are coming back at a certain time and they will even come back the next day. I clean the house and I want to go get some fat cakes for myself. I am hungry and mam Kgotso's fatcakes are the best. Home is amazing for such reasons, my brothers should be here so I need to buy a lot of fat cakes. I walk there and I stand in the line somethings never change its always packed here. The line is moving slowly yerr. I am getting impatient. "I thought you left already after what happened yesterday, I thought you would run like you always do." Tumi says coming from behind me, is he stalking me?
"Leave me alone what happened yesterday was a mistake." I say. He says nothing because eyes are on us now. I finally get in front I buy the fat cakes I want, and I leave. He is following me. "Tumi leave me alone, as I said yesterday was a mistake. " He laughs sarcastically. "You think you are smart neh? Sleeping with me and leaving like that..." He says holding my hand tight. "Let me go!" I whisper yell. He doesn't let go, Oh my God, not this again. I left him for this reason, he likes using force when things don't go his way. "I thought you heard the lady, she said let her go." He is behind us, Fisokuhle is behind us. Tumi looks behind us and looks at Fiso from head to toe. Fisokuhle is very tall he is towering over the both of us right now.
"And who are you? I am talking to my girlfriend this is none of your business." Tumi replies rudely. "Listen I am not going to tell you twice remove yourself from the lady, before I make you." He says it again and Tumi is terrified. He lets me go, Sangweni is staring at him, they are having a staring contest. Tumi starts to walk away. "You and I are not done" He says looking back at me then continues walking away. "Are you alright?" Sangweni asks looking concerned. "No I am fine, what are you doing here?" I ask. What is he doing here, doesn't he have a girlfriend? "I came here for you, I think you and I need to talk." He says. "Okay we will talk later, how did you find me?" I ask. "Oh Ntokozo directed me here." He says. Mhh Ntokozo is a problem. "Oh okay, right now I am going to have breakfast my brothers will be joining me wanna come?" I ask.
"No, I cant go in there, I haven't paid lobola or anything as far as your parents are concerned I don't exist. Lets keep it that way. I thought I would take you out for breakfast." He says. I was about to answer when a car stops next to us, its Sihle. "Get in the car." He says. He is man of few words and he says what he means. "I will text you instead." I say Fiso seems to understand. "When mom and dad are not here you use this opportunity to see these broke men?" He asks. "Lol its not even like that come on Sihle. " I say. "I know yesterday you went back to Tumelo, why would you do that to yourself huh? " He says.
Simesihle is the only one who knows how my life was when I dating Tumelo. He is the one I ran to when things got bad between us, he would always try to defend me and I always went back to Tumelo at the end of the day. He never liked Tumelo from the beginning.
"I am going through something right now and I thought seeing him would make things better somehow but I can see that I was wrong, Tumelo is still the same he hasn't changed." I say. He breathes out. "What are you going through? You know you can always talk to me. Does it involve that guy you were standing with?" He asks. "Eish Yah it does, I broke up with him a month ago. I regret doing it but it was for the best." I say.
"Mhh okay, do you love him?" He asks. "Yes I do and that's what is the problem I love him but I am not sure if he loves me." I say. "I see, is he bothering you as he came here is he harassing you?" he asks. "No, not really. He just came here because he wants us to talk." I answer. "Okay, what are you going to do then?" He asks. "I want to talk to him, so we can see whats happening between us." I say. I sometimes feel like he is a therapist of some sort, he always asks me questions that I will answer myself and leads me to taking a decision myself without any of his input, he listens.
