Chapter 31

So, small recap. Yesterday, I found out that I might well be the daughter of the Moon Goddess; crazy right? According to Namjoon, Erebus, has probably already sensed my existence.

After doing some research on his name on the internet and in the history books the boys had. I found that in Greek mythology, Erebus is a personification of 'deep darkness' or 'shadow' and has been identified as one of the first five beings, born of utter chaos. To balance this out, others, like the Moon Goddess, came to existence. Erebus didn't like that, as they would stop him from committing anything but good. So he disappeared. To think of something that would let him be free, without anyone stopping his evil deeds. This is where humans come in, as we were given free will and greed, some were swayed by him easily. It could've have been from his manipulative way of speaking, being able to get inside the heads of his victims easily. Or by his attractive features and nature, making humans of any gender identity fall to his feet. Either way, he has manipulated himself an army, ready to attack the Moon Goddess and anyone who would stand between them.

After the Moon Goddess' death, the Gods felt furious, they tried to banish him but couldn't in the end as he was simply too powerful. Instead they used all they had on him, hoping for him to somehow lose focus. It worked to an extent, they hurt him enough that he passed out; though so did they. Yet when they awoke, he was nowhere to be seen.

So you know, mama Moon Goddess really left me in a pickle.

Anyway, the boys said they will prepare me mentally as well as physically for if a day comes where Erebus finds our whereabouts. My teachers for the psychology side of me are: Seokjin and Namjoon. For combat and physical lessons Jungkook and Jimin will help me and I'll have a final battle with Hoseok, and Taehyung and Yoongi will teach me how to handle guns, bow and arrows, swords and just about anything in my surroundings that might help me. Charlotte and Kacey also wanted to help, so it meant they had to have training as well to protect themselves and the people around them.

We will go to school on a Monday, and return to the pack house the guys showed us a few houses down from where they lived. Namjoon and Seokjin would help us get stronger psychologically, and then we'd go home, we'd do the same for Tuesday. On Wednesday and Thursday, Yoongi and Taehyung will help us handle weaponry, then we'd head home and rest. Finally on Friday and Saturday, Jimin and Jungkook will help us get stronger physically, as well as teaching us how to throw punches, kicks etc. On Sunday, we would have a small one hour assessment to see what we've learnt and where there is room for improvement. My parents know exactly what's happening, while Charlotte and Kacey's parents took a lot more convincing. But being the persistent and annoying daughters they are, they finally convinced them saying it was some sort of a club, helping them get stronger mentally and physically, which they weren't entirely lying there.

Today is Monday, meaning after school our first psychology lesson with Namjoon and Seokjin will start. We are kind of excited actually.

"Soooo Jin, what sorts of stuff will we be learning?" Kacey said in a cheeky tone of voice, running up to him. We went to their house to wait for the boys so we could go to school.

"Psychological stuff" Jin said almost instantly, showing no interest as he kept scrolling on his phone.

"Well yeah, but what exactly are they?" Kacey tried again.

"..Kacey is there anything specific you want to find out about psychology?" Jin says, suddenly turning to Kacey while turning off his phone, giving her all his attention.

"I-I don't know, I haven't studied it, but it does sound interesting." Kacey responds slightly taken aback by the sudden attention.

"Oh, at least you're interested in it, you'll learn more soon.. GUYS GET MOVING OTHERWISE YOU'LL BE LATE FORE SCHOOL!!" Jin shouts as he walks towards the stairs.

"Woah" Charlotte says in a quite shocked voice.

"What?" Both Kacey and I turn to her.

"I'm not sure, but I think he deflected your question and threw you off course with the sudden attention. Then walked away before you could ask again.." She says in an amazed voice.

"I'm not gonna lie, I forgot what I wanted to ask him till now.. Was that a taste of what the lessons will be like?" Kacey whispered and Charlotte gave a slight hesitant nod.

"Woah.." Both Kacey and I say in unison, looking at Jin while he gives us an innocent smile.

Soon after Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook run down the stairs, while still putting on their jackets and bags.

"Let's go, Charlotte's driving her car and I'm driving mine." I say as I open the door and make my way to my car.

"Wait, Harper's driving?" Jimin says in a slightly scared tone of voice.

"She is?-" Taehyung questions before running to the car Charlotte was waiting at followed by Jimin and Jungkook.

"..GUYS I'M NOT EVEN THAT BAD" I gasp and whine.

"Famous last words.." Jungkook whispers under his breath.

"Don't think I didn't hear that, Jeon Jungkook" I say intimidatingly.

"Oh shit, she used your full name, you're dead as can be Jungkook" Jimin snorts.

"Whatever" I say getting into the car, followed by Kacey.

Taehyung and Jungkook exchange looks and sigh in defeat.

"Sorry, Jimin" Taehyung says before moving away from the car.

"Wait guys where are you going?" Jimin says confused.

"I'm going to that stupid mate of mine to make sure she doesn't kill herself before Erebus tries to" Jungkook says shutting the car door and walking towards my car.

"Oh don't worry Jungkook, if I die you'll be the first person I haunt the hell out of" I smile.

"Oh goody." He says getting into the passenger seat next to me.

Taehyung slips into the back seat next to Kacey.

"KIM TAEHYUNG I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU DITCHING ME LIKE THIS" Jimin shouted out the window of the front passenger seat of Charlotte's car.

Taehyung gulps and puts his thumb up out the window.
