Chapter 10

My eyes dart from each boy- now wolf.. to another. But I just stare and one of the wolves that had fur of all black. Silky black. Standing tall, proud and confident. A boss kind of aura radiating off of him. His black eyes, even darker than his fur stared back into my eyes. As if trying to steal my soul right then and there. He was atleast twice the size of the rest of the wolves. I scanned his body from paws to ears. I then looked back at his eyes seeing that he's already staring back at me, again. I gupled after he gave a slight smirk, I guess? I'm not even sure but it looked like it. I looked up at Kacey's still surprised face.

"So? What do you think?" I say trying to gather myself and look less surprised

"You're kidding me right? These things exist?!" She says backing away shaking

"Kacey! It's okay, they're nice they have looked after me for the last few days. Please don't judge them on this! It's not right" I say not really surprised, of course she's never seen a wolf or even a werewolf so it obviously would surprise her.

"I'm not sure how to react! I've never seen them! And now out of nowhere a few boys from our school are werewolves.. I don't know how to feel" she says fiddling with her fingers and looking down. I can tell that she's trying to not say the wrong words and offend them.

"I know it's a lot to take in when you literally got here half an hour ago. But I swear they're nice" I say pointing at all the wolves in front of us, one of them drops on the ground and goes on their back and starts wiggling around in the grass

Be both giggle

"Fine, I'm sure they are.. they haven't eaten you yet so I guess that's something" she slightly jokes

A growl rose from Jungkook making us all to look at him. But he just tilts his head down to avoid everyone

"You guys can shift back now! It's kinda awkward when you can't talk" Kacey says to them a little bit more chill now

They all look at eachother and shift.. both mine and Kacey's surprised expressions return.. they were naked!!

"OH MY GOD IM SCARRED" I turn away from them shielding my eyes from what god created as PERFECT

They all laugh

"You told us to shift back!" Namjoon pointing at Kacey who had her head on the ground as if trying to push it through like a ostrich.

"I DIDNT KNOW THAT YOU GUYS WOULD BE NAKED?! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IVE SEEN WEREWOLVES!!" She shouts without giving a glance up.

"It's not like you don't like the view!" Hoseok says from one side. I could hear him smirking, both me and Kacey stayed facing away from them as their voices got closer and closer to us.

"I'm not enjoying the view actually! We literally officially met today! Not the way I'd wanna be greeted, but sure you do your thing" I say covering my eyes even more just to make sure I don't get a glance of anything..

"Awww you're so innocent" Yoongi laughs at my action

"Just go get clothes" I huff

"Fine we'll meet you inside" Jin says and herding everyone in the direction of the mansion

After their footsteps start to fade away I turn to Kacey

"So now that you know werewolves are real.. I need you to help me keep my parents calm. Cuz I don't think they'll let me go anytime soon or if they do not for long.. and we can't really say 'mum dad werewolves are real' because they'll take it worse than you " I explain

"Well we can- wait what do you mean they won't let you go?" She sits up and looks at me

"Well.." I'm not sure if I should tell her, but I guess I'll have to eventually right?

"I'm Jungkook's mate.." I quietly whisper but not quiet enough

"WHAT?!" She screams while her eyes grow bigger

"Probably not for long though" shit I should have told her that-

"What does that mean?" She crosses her arms

Fuck me

"Well, he doesn't want me as a mate" I look down as it still hurts knowing you're not wanted

"WHAT?!" She screams yet again but this time also stands up

"He thinks that a human mate would make him look weak, and apparently he's lasted this long without a mate he doesn't need one at all. But it's fine, I'm use to feeling.. unwanted, I guess? I'll get over it eventually" I could feel a lump forming in my throat

"That's it!" Kacey ran back to the house before I could react

"Kacey! Stop! Come back!" I shout running after her

Jungkook's POV

The boys and I got dressed and sat down in the living room talking about Harper's friend Kacey.

"She seems nice" Jin says slightly eyeing up Taehyung for some sort of reaction

"Yeah she is! What do you think Tae?" Yoongi says getting the hint from Jin

"Huh? Oh, she's nice I guess" was all he said

We all looked at eachother confused, what's making him act so weird?

We couldn't interrogate Taehyung anymore as the door opened and shut really loudly. We all stand up when Kacey walks into the room without Harper. I look behind her confused and a slight panic rises inside of me

See, you do care about her!
My wolf smirks

Oh shut up, I don't but I don't want her to get eaten or lost either
I snarl, he just rolls his eyes

"Oh don't you dare act all caring towards Harper! When you don't even want her! Do you know how sad she was when she was telling me that she doesn't feel wanted? That she felt use to it? Do you atleast even bother talking to her?" Kacey shouts rambling at me while I'm frozen in place. Right before I come to answer her..

She slaps me

My wolf starts to get angry at the disrespect and I let him take over. I could see everyone trying to calm me down saying she didn't mean it and holding me back. But I'm stronger than all of them. Declan yanks away from them, feeling even more disrespected and growls taking a few steps towards her. She starts backing away with fear visible in her eyes

I bring my hand up with my claws growing out of my fingers. Declan growls but before he could strike Harper stands in between him and Kacey
