The camp ground was barren, almost as if nobody were there to begin with, the only evidence were the wet brown marks on the dirt from where their tents were and the morning dew collected beneath them. Jess always went on and on about the carbon footprint.

The girls hugged each other goodbye and Lainey joined in on the fun, making friends was hard, but at least she had them. She was bound to go on more adventures with them, so she would have to get used to them if she stood a chance.

Once at home, Lainey hugged Jess awkwardly. Lainey wondered if Jess even remembered last night, she barely did in the back of her throbbing head. She thanked her for the adventure, but now it was a return to reality. Lainey unlocked and opened her front door and it was as if her father had never moved, still on the couch, passed out under the blanket surrounded by beer. She rolled her eyes and headed straight for her room. She unpacked her clothes and put the dirty ones into the hamper. Lainey sighed and got ready for work later that night, that is what she meant by back to reality, it was fun to allow everything to be put on hold for a while, but everything had to come back sometime, school, work, life. At least it was only a 3 hour shift.

Lainey dressed up in the silly black shirt Jess made for her and her black shredded jeans with her pocket chains. She hopped on her skateboard, popped her earplugs in and headed downtown.

When Lainey pulled into the parking lot of the bar, Jess's little hatchback sat in her usual spot and Lainey knew she had just been in it, but it made her smile. She liked working with Jess. Entering through the open doors with pulsating music filling her ears. She even thought she missed the bar, it's old smell with a gay twist. And there she was, the most beautiful girl she's ever seen with the biggest smile on her face, all for Lainey.

"How you feeling, Lane?" She smiled, sliding a customer a drink, in her low cut tube top, her cleavage pressed against the bar top.

"Hot" Lainey said, practically drooling. She shook herself out of staring and looked back up at her, "probably just too much sun this weekend."

Jess chuckled and shook her head, "well I'm glad you had fun, everyone really liked you, they're down to have you come somewhere this weekend." Lainey got behind the bar with Jess and she looked her up and down, trying to hide her smile.

Lainey watched her out of the corner of her eye smiling and shaking her head back, bobbing to the music. She filled a gin and tonic for a customer. "This weekend? Really?" Lainey smiled, flattered that they all wanted to go camping again with her. "Are we hitting the same spot again?"

"Oh no, definitely not. We never hit the same place twice in a year," she smiled. "Burney Falls is our only repeat place, it's just so beautiful. Kind of a ritual of ours to go there. We haven't been there in a while, but now that you're out newest addition, we might hit it up this weekend. You down?" Jess stretched across the bar top, wiping the counters down. Her ass peaking out from below her skirt.

Lainey got carried away, too busy watching it instead of replying. "Oh. Uhm. Yeah, im down. I've never been."

Jess smiled wide, "oh it's beautiful, I know you will love it."

Before another word came out of her mouth, the bell on the door rang and in walked a few girls, they sat at the bar top in front of Lainey.

"Do you guys do daiquiris, or are you on the menu at all?" One of the girls giggled drunkenly as her friend helped her sit up straight on the stool.

"Michelle, you can't just go around telling people that. I'm sorry, she was left on her wedding day." She smiled nervously at Lainey and Jess. "I'm Delilah."

Lainey smiled at Delilah as Delilah tried to avoid her eyes, "you can call me, Lane."

"Yes I was left on my wedding day... which means I'm single. Are you?" She smiled again at Lainey.
