Rose- part 2

"I cant get anything on the... machine-"

"The 'Alien Exposure Meter Thingy'" the Historian sighed, rolling her eyes. "AEMT."

"Yes... that." Henry sighed down the phone to her. "I'm going to try and get in round the back, see if theres anything I can find... traced the other signal yet?"

"Not yet, I'm on it... it heading to the Powell Estate." The Historian looked up from her sonic screwdriver and saw the strange man who was with Rose last night. She turned her screwdriver off as he walked towards her... something about the way he moved was so alien to her, but so... familiar. "I'll call you back when I have something... the human from last night is here."

"Hes there?" Asked Henry. "What do you mean? Are you alright?"

In true Historian fashion, she hung up before answering the question, sliding her screwdriver back inside her jacket pocket, walking towards the man, who had now stopped in the middle of the cobbled path. She stopped, feeling the wing blow through her hair in the near-empty park. Her eyes met his slightly, she noticed he had blue eyes that looked as though they had experienced more than any mere human could ever experience. He unfolded his own arms and looked her dead in the eye.

"It's you." He said to her. "For all these years i thought you were dead. but you've been here. Earth."

The Historian frowned at the man and took her screwdriver out again, buzzing him with it. "You seemed to know a lot about last night mate." She muttered as she looked to her screwdriver. "Strange, reading aren't human, weird, you look extremely human."

"Yeah well, so do you." He told her. He kept speaking, but The Historian had stopped listening, for the readings she had on her screwdriver had to be wrong. They were registering that he was a... timelord. But he couldn't be, she was the last one left. Her mouth went dry and she felt her head spin. She wasn't alone anymore... She looked into the blue eyed timelords eyes and shoved her screwdriver away, tuning back into what he was saying. "So? How long have you been here then? And Henry, Henry? Really? Wouldn't have thought a Henry was your type-"

"You're a timelord." She said dumbly. "You're a timelord. Youre one... and... I'm not alone." She said slowly. "I cant believe it... Who are you? What's your name?"

"Do you really need to ask?"

The Historian walked closer to the man and looked into his eyes. She saw a thousand stars floating inside those eyes, those worried, kind, beautiful eyes she felt she knew. She slowly put her hand on his chest, feeling the beat of two hearts under her hand, and she knew. "No... out of all the timelord on Gallifrey, why did you survive?"

"Still hate me then." He said as he took her hand in his. "Zara... i am sorry."

The Historian threw herself forwards and wrapped her arms around her dead- no, living, husband. "I thought you were dead- i was told you died... Doctor..."

"I thought you died." He told her. "Its been 800 years-"

She pulled back as her screwdriver began to beep. "What're you doing here?" He asked as she took her screwdriver out.

"Travelling from the 1700's with Henry and bumped into the Slitheen along the way. Made an emergency landing here in 2005 when my TARDIS decided to die completely and, to make matters worse, literally disintegrate. Barely got out-"

The Doctors eyes widened. "You were alright weren't you?"

"Well, Had to go back in for Henry, Man got lost so i had to drag him out, course i ended up needing to regenerate so, here I am... you?"

"Traced a strange signal, living plastic... speaking of, i suppose you're heading in the same direction?"

"Powell Estate?" She asked him.

The Historian wasn't sure what to do make of the new Doctor. She found him strange, and nothing at all like the last Doctor she knew. She scanned a door and turned to him after trying the handle, finding it locked. "Well, here we are, doors locked though."
