The Long Game- Part 2
Rose looked to Adam "Do you want to get out?"
"No. No, this technology, it's amazing." Adam breathed.
"This technology's wrong." The Doctor glared.
"Trouble?" Rose asked
"Oh, yeah."

"Promotion." The Historian turned around and looked at a wall, which had been lit up with the word 'Promotion'.
Cathica looked toward them. "Come on. This is it. Come on. Oh God, make it me. Come on, say my name, say my name, say my name."
"Promotion for Suki Macrae Cantrell. Please proceed to Floor five hundred."
Suki gasped, looking up with wide eyes. "I don't believe it. Floor five hundred."
Cathica scoffed. "How the hell did you manage that? I'm above you."
"I don't know. I just applied on the off chance and they've said yes."
"That's so not fair. I've been applying to Floor five hundred for three years."
Rose rose an eyebrow. "What's Floor five hundred?"
The Doctor stared at the wall. "The walls are made of gold."
They all followed the group towards the lift. Cathica looked utterly fed up, while Suki was over the mood. The Historian had her arms folded, frowning at the whole situation. Suki grinned at the Doctor. "Cathica, I'm going to miss you. Floor five hundred, thank you."
He frowned. "I didn't do anything."
"Well, you're my lucky charm!" She grinned as she grabbed him, hugging him.
"All right. I'll hug anyone." He grinned.
The Historian looked to Adam and sighed. "Its not so bad you know."
"What, with the head thing?" He asked with wide eyes.
" Yeah, well, she's closed it now!" Rose told him with a grin.
"Yeah, but. It's everything. It freaks me out. And I just need to. If I could just cool down. Sort of acclimatise."
The Historian frowned. "How do you mean?"
" Maybe I could just go and sit on the observation deck. Would that be all right? Soak it in, you know. Pretend I'm a citizen of the year two hundred thousand."
Rose nodded. " Do you want me to come with you?"
"No, no, you stick with the Doctor and Historian. You'd rather be with them. It's going to take a better man than me to get between you three. Anyway, I'll be on the deck."
Rose took something out of her pocket and handed it to him. "Here you go. Take the Tardis key. You know, just in case it gets a bit too much."
Adam laughed nervously. " Yeah, like it's not weird in there." He took the key and headed off.
A tannoy spoke through the crowds again. "All staff are reminded that the sixteen forty break session has been shortened by ten minutes. Thank you."
Suki gasped. "Oh, my God, I've got to go. I can't keep them waiting. I'm sorry. Say goodbye to Steve for me. Bye!"
As the doors closed, Cathica huffed. "Good riddance."
The Historian rolled her eyes and leant against the door. "You're talking like you'll never see her again. She's only going upstairs."
