Bad Wolf- Part Two
The Historian jumped up from the Sofa looking at Lynda and Strood. "You people are insane!" She yelled. "You just step right into the disintegrator? Is it that important, getting your face on the telly? Is it worth dying for?"
"You're talking like we've got a choice!"
The Doctor looked to Lynda. "But I thought you had to apply."
"Don't be so stupid. That's how they played it centuries back." Strood scoffed.
" You get chosen whether you like it or not. Everyone on Earth is a potential contestant. The transmat beam picks you out at random. And it's non stop. There are sixty Big Brother houses running all at once."
"Sorry, sixty?" The Historian asked with wide eyes.
Strood shrugged. "They've had to cut back. It's not what it was."
The doctor stood next to the Historian. "It's a charnel house! What about the winners? What do they get?"
" They get to live." Lynda told them.
"Is that it?"
" Well, isn't that enough?"
The Historian turned to the Doctor. "Doctor. Rose and Jack are out there. We need to get them... Time I got out. That other contestant, er, Linda with an I. She was forcibly evicted for what?"
" Damage to property."
"Like this?" She asked as she took her sonic out, pointing it at a camera.
The Doctor grinned and pointed his at the camera too, and it exploded. Seconds later, they heard a voice "the Historian. The Doctor, you've broken the House Rules. Big Brother has no choice but to evict you. You have ten seconds to make your farewells, and then we're going to get you!"
"Oi Oi here we go!" The Historian grinned as the dragged the Doctor towards the door.
" You're mad! It's like you want to die." Lynda yelled.
Strood huffed " I reckon theyre a plant. They were only brought in to stir things up."
The Historian. The Doctor, please leave the Big Brother house."
They ran into the small white room and span around with grins "come on then, disintegrate us! Come on, what're you waiting for?" The doctor yelled.
"Eviction in five, four,"
"Here we go." Th3 Historian grinned as the doctor grinned back, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
"three, two, one."
The machine stopped and the Doctor laughed. " Ah, ha! I knew it! You see, someone brought us into this game. If they'd wanted us dead, they could've transmatted us into a volcano."
"They wanted us alive." The Historian nodded. Maybe security isn't as tight this end. Are you following this? We're getting out!"
As the Doctor got the door open, the Historian put her chin on his shoulder "doctor, we need Lynda. She might be pretty, well, thick... but she knows a lot about the tele."
He nodded slightly "fine, but she's your responsibility."
She rolled her eyes and kissed the Doctors cheek before poking her head back inside the room. "Oi, Lynda! Come with us."
Strood scoffed "We're not allowed!"
"You, Stay in there, you've got a fifty fifty chance of disintegration. Stay with me, I promise I'll get you out alive. Come on!"
