Hey everyone. Hope you enjoy the epilogue.

12 Years LaterI sighed, pulling away from my work laptop. Kiyo sat next to me, his arm resting on my lap. "What's going on, husband?" He asked, looking at me. "Nothing. Just work being stressful." I said, his eyes boring into mine. I moved forward, and kissed him gently. Suddenly, a small voice came from the stairs of our house. "Ew! You're kissing!" I laughed as I pulled apart from Kiyo, and moved to chase the little boy sitting on the stairs. He giggled as I picked him up. "Why'd you kiss him?" He asked. "Because I love him." I smiled. "Just. Like. I. Love. You." I kissed his cheek with every work, making him giggled. "I love you, Yasari." We had adopted the boy a few months ago, and he had the same brown hair and hazel eyes as my late brother. "Hey dad? Can I talk to you for a minute? It's for school." I nodded. "Be right there." I set Yasari down and he toddler towards Kiyo, and I walked upstairs to see my older son, Kenshi. He had blond hair and blue eyes, and was 15 years old. "It's for an English assignment. 'What was the happiest day of your parent(s) life?'" I smiled. "This is easy. The day I got married to your other father. That had to be the best moment of my life. For both of us, I'm sure." I responded. "Could you show a picture?" He asked.
I nodded, pulling out my phone and pulling up the picture of us dancing, faces only inches apart, expressions of pure happiness on both our faces." He laughed. "That was you?" He giggled. I nodded, and sent the picture over to him through text. He nodded. "Thanks dad." I nodded, and left the room. The sun had began to dip as Kiyo and I lounged from the window, the colors breaking out as the yellow ball just barely touched the horizon. Kiyo and I held hands as the edge of the world exploded into color. I smiled at him. "I love you." "I love you too." He replied. We sat there, talking for about an hour, watching the sun set, and when it did, we both sighed happily. "Okay, time to get up." Kiyo said, as we both stretched. I rested my hand in his waist, and he rested a hand on my shoulder. "Do you remember-" "The wedding dance? How could I forget." He rested his other arm on my waist, and I on his shoulder. I hummed the soft melody as we spun around, dancing in our house. After we were done, we decided to put the kids to bed.
We got ready for bed, and slipped into the sheets together, staring at each other for the longest time. I laughed, breaking eye contact, and reaching over to turn off the light. I smiled into the dark. "You know, Kiyo. I'm excited." "Why?" "Well, tomorrow is a brand new day. And there is nothing better than getting a new day after a stressful long one." I said. He sighed. "You're right. Now let's go to bed." I snorted, curling up next to my husband, and tried to imagine what tomorrow would bring.
After all, it was a new day.
