After school was over, I was happy to start heading over to the mall, but before I could, Shuichi and Kaede stopped me. "Hey. Where are you running off to?" Kaede asked brightly. "Oh! Um.. I have something personal I have to do." I replied, surprised. "Really? Like what?" She said. "Oh, um, I may or may not have a date today." I said. "Ooh, a date! With who?" Kaede said. "Akamatsu-San, come on. It's probably with someone who he doesn't want to say." Shuichi said, looking embarrassed. "Ooh, is it Kiyo? Is that what you were talking about earlier?" Kaede asked excitedly.

I turned pink, but nodded. Kaede laughed. "Figures you and him would get together." "We're not together." I said, turning red and looking away. "Well, we don't want to hold you up." Shuichi said, grinning. I laughed, and waved goodbye to them as I walked away.

I arrived a few minutes before 4, and saw Kiyo drinking a coffee through his mask, who waved at me as I walked towards him. I sat down and he greeted me. "Hello, Horiuchi. Has your day been well?" "Since we spoke, yes." I responded. "Why, because I agreed to go on this date with you?" I felt my face heat up, and he looked at me. "I'll take that as a yes." I laughed and sat down. A waitress came over and asked what I wanted, and I ordered a cappuccino. We talked for a moment, before getting to the topic of what happened yesterday.

"Once again, I apologize for what I did. I was out of line and I acted emotionally. What I did was wrong." He said, not looking at me. "It's okay. If I'm being honest, I actually enjoyed it." I said. He chuckled. "Kukukukuku. Really? I didn't know you did, or even that you enjoyed being with men." "Well, I'm bisexual, so man or woman doesn't really matter." I said. We talked for more, before paying and leaving. "You should come to my place. We can work on the project there." Kiyo said. I smirked. "Is that an invitation, Kiyo?" "Why yes, if you wish to join me." He responded.

We went to his place, which was a small apartment not far from where I lived. The walls were mostly covered in relics, which had small tags on them which displayed their names. I looked around as he said, "It's not much." We began to work on our project, and I soon noticed him looking up at me a few times, then looking away. After the sixth time, I said, "Why have you been looking at me like that?" "Hm? What do you mean?" He responded. "You've been peeking up at me for the last hour." I said, setting my pencil down and leaning back in my chair to look at him.

"Well," he said, turning pink and looking away. "You looked a bit off today, and I was wondering why." I laughed. "Aww, you're worried about me!" I exclaimed. "What? N-no I'm not." He retorted. "So, what happened last night?" My smile dimmed a bit as I remembered the nightmare. "Nothing." I said. "I doubt that. You're thinking of something, someone. A family member." He said, analyzing me with his eyes. I looked up at him. "Why are you asking me about this?" I asked, an edge to my voice.

"I didn't mean to offend you, I just hope to see the side of you that can open up to people." Kiyo said, raising his hands defensively. "I don't like opening up to people, and we've known each other for, what, three days?" I responded. "Yes, and in those three days we've both kissed and went out on a date together." He said. I snorted. "I'm not going to open up to you Kiyo, no matter how hard you try." I said, peering at him. "Maybe I can change that." He said, grabbing my hand in his." "K-Kiyo, what are you doing?" I asked, my face flushing.

He grabbed my chin with the other, and I looked into his eyes, just like what happened in my nightmare last night. Last night.... I pulled away. "What happened? Did I do something wrong?" He asked worriedly. I shook my head. "Just a bad memory." I said. "Can I help you with that?" He asked, once again grabbing my hand, but leaving his other hand where it was. I nodded. He pulled me towards him, and wrapped himself around me, hugging me tightly. I laughed. "Is this your first time hugging someone?" I asked as his long arms wrapped around me. "No, actually." He said.

He pulled away from me, this time looking directly at me. He gestured to me slightly. "May I-" He was cut off as I responded with, "Oh, screw it. I need something to do instead of this project." I said, my face turning a fiery red as I looked at him. He had discarded the olive hat he wore, and also his mask. He leaned down and kissed me once again, pressing against my lips.

I leaned into him, feeling a fiery pit in my stomach as I kissed him back. His tongue pressed against my lips, a silent question, and I answered by moving, as we both stood up. He wrapped his arms around my waist, and I wrapped them around his neck, both of us fighting over each other. He groaned softly as I slid my hands down his back, and he responded by pushing against my chest. I let out a soft, muffled gasp as his hands slid across me, before settling at the hem of my shirt. With a thump we landed against the wall, continuing to make out. Kiyo's hands slid from my waist to sliding up my chest, trying to take my shirt with him, and we broke apart for air, both of us breathing heavily. He leaned forward, and purred softly into my ear, " Let's keep going, why don't we?" I laughed, and we resumed kissing again.

A small ding from my phone made us pause for a moment, and I slipped from Kiyo's grasp to check it. It was a text from my mom.

Hey sweetie, are you ok? I didn't see you say anything that you were home yet.

Sorry. I'm finishing up my project with my partner at his place. Going to head home now. Love you.

Kiyo was peering over my shoulder as I typed. Once I sent the text, he said, "Project, that's what that was?" I chuckled. "Yeah, I guess." I said, straightening my shirt as he put his hat and mask back on. "I'll see you tomorrow, Kiyo." I said, waving and walking out the door. "Goodbye." I heard his voice from behind me as I walked away, feeling happy about what just happened.
