Jimin was an absolute genius. He had devised a plan to prevent Jeongguk from finding out about him talking to Yoongi. It was a one way plan since Yoongi had no idea what he was doing, but he figured it would work just as well.

Yes, he knew that keeping secrets from his boyfriend probably wouldn't end up well in the long run, and sure, it was a bad idea especially when it was Yoongi, but he needed someone to talk to other than his currently grumpy younger partner.

It would end one way or another, so it didn't matter all that much. Not to mention the fact that Jeongguk kept him from talking to anyone else, as ridiculous as it sounded. The fact that Jeongguk felt like he could tell him what to do made him upset, in a sense.

"Minnie, hello?"

The older boy was the first to say anything, and his voice sounded like a deeper rumble over the phone, his syllables slurred as though he had just rolled out of bed to pick up the call. The younger boy wanted to see his bed head at some point in his life, he thought about that to himself, for some reason.

Jimin felt himself flush, his mouth flopping in an attempt to form words. He had to be thankful for the idea that he wasn't in front of Yoongi, for he knew that if it were so, he would've made fun of him for his complexion being so pale at that name.

Or his ears would be tinged red.

Either way, the name did things to him.

"Hi," Jimin answered, this time feeling like he was going to be the one to start the conversation. "How are you?"

Yoongi snorted. "You sure you're my Jimin? You sound a little too enthusiastic. Maybe you've got the wrong Yoongi."

Jimin sputtered at the mention of the possessive paired with his name, which he wasn't sure was intentional. He shouldn't have been sputtering over it at all, it should've made him a little uncomfortable if anything, but nothing of that sort.

It was fine with him, but was that strange?

"Did you have a reason to call me?" Yoongi asked awkwardly after the silence had continued on. "It's not like you to call me so early for no reason. When I first picked it up, I thought something was wrong. If this was normal, then I wouldn't have pick it up—"

"Shut up," Jimin laughed out, and that was the first laugh he felt like he had in ages, even though it had been a thousand times less than that long. "And I didn't have a reason."

"How about you shut up? You interrupted my sleep," Yoongi bit back, though there was no venom laced in his tone as he chuckled softly.

Jimin could hear the giggling again in the back of his mind as he remembered it from before, but he couldn't pinpoint the reason that he imagined Yoongi smiling with such fondness.

He was probably an idiot, so that didn't change anything.

Jimin had been correct in guessing that Yoongi had been asleep right before, as he had judged from his voice, but he didn't imagine that he would wake up just to talk to him. Although, who knows, he could've been lying just so that he could "go back to sleep" instead of talking to Jimin. If that were the case, it didn't matter, since he didn't hang up or pause to leave.

"Don't you have work today?"

"No," Jimin replied, staring down at his hands. "I don't have a regular schedule yet, that'll have to wait until later. I just fill in for Ryu when she needs a break for studying or something."

"That's nice of you," Yoongi said. "Everyone needs a break once in a while."

Jimin knew that was the case for him too, for reasons that he failed to mention to himself and think about in the short amount of time that Yoongi paused for.
