It was the next day when Jimin inhaled through his nose as he clicked the keys on his phone, not having typed anything to Jeongguk in a really long time, To be truthful, he would've called him, but he chickened out at the last minute and hung up after he didn't answer on the first ring.
If he thought about it, working up enough nerve to call him did take a lot of his energy, so he supposed that was why he was so tired and happened to forget nearly everything that he needed to remember. Except this, because of course he had decided to write it down to make extra sure that he didn't forget.
He didn't even really know if he would even answer the message, so he didn't know why he was trying so hard. So he would ask him over text to call him, then ask him over call to meet him in person. Which he hoped wouldn't be too awkward, considering they were supposed to be boyfriends and talk to each other fairly easily.
Much to his surprise, Jeongguk's typing bubble popped up one the screen a few minutes after he had sent his message, and he watched in anticipation. It disappeared a couple times over the thirty minutes that he waited for a response, and when he was finally going to settle down to throw his phone halfway across the room, it beeped.
He opened the phone faster than Moon ran when he was hungry which, if he thought about it, was pretty fast. But his heart was pounding, and even though it shouldn't have been this hard to talk to his boyfriend, it was. Which felt weird, in a sense.
Me:
Hey Gguk, it's been a while since we last talked. I was wondering if you wanted to catch up sometime soon so that we can share things that we haven't really gotten to in the time that we haven't been talking.
I think that it's important for us to communicate every once in a while with our circumstances since we aren't talking and don't have the chance to speak with each other. So if you can, will you please call me?
Love, Jimin

hi jiminie, this seems so formal for talking to you, but i'm just copying the format you put it in since i don't know what else to do...
anyways, i think it would be nice to talk and catch up with things we haven't been telling each other for a while.
i kinda have something to tell you.
and yes, i will call you.
kisses, jeonggukie <3
After he'd sent the message, he threw his phone to the other side of the couch and rubbed at his face, taking in what he'd just done. It didn't seem likely that he would've done this a few days ago, though he knew it would happen eventually. So he continued to lay there in silence until the phone buzzed a few times.
He then proceeded to get up slowly and check the ringer id, not surprised to see that it was in fact Jeongguk. So he took a deep breath and then answered the call, remaining silent for only a moment until he spoke.
"Hello?" was the first thing he said into the phone, his voice shaky. Though he didn't mind it one bit when he heard the sigh from the other side of the phone and the soft laugh of someone familiar.
Jeon Jeongguk.
"Jiminie," Jeongguk said with a little laugh at the end, and Jimin felt himself smile. For what reason he didn't know, but he wasn't exactly sure what to say. "How are you?"
