[[Authors Note: Here is the inspiration for Recruit's helmet and armor. I'd like to emphasize 'inspiration' because I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. But these are close!]]

You stand in front of the dirty mirror, the one your back was pressed up against just a few hours ago. You don't bother trying to hold back the smile on your face, hidden under your helmet. You feel amazing. Like you could fuck or kill anyone or anything you wanted. You run your black gloved fingers over the silver rivers in your helmet as your eyes take in the sexy, powerful warrior in the mirror. Your leather jacket is a little shiny with newness, the collar high and the front crossing over, leaving the sides a little longer, falling partway down your thighs. But the front of your jacket ends just under your belt line.
The belt Cardo gave you has two holders, one for a knife, and one for the weapon you have yet to meet. Your tight pants are a little bulky, having reinforced knees, hips, and crotch. Your new boots aren't as comfortable as your old ones. It will take a long time to get used to them. They have a tiny heel, and come all the way up your calves, stopping just below the knee. You have another knife strap on your left thigh, and it holds a small, skinny blade that Trudgen tucked in against your will.
You look, and feel, ready to take on the whole galaxy.
"Stop checking yourself out, we've docked." Ushar chuckles in your newly connected commlink in the helmet.
"Well, someone has to do it!" you laugh as you exit the refresher.
And, well, all six of them stand there in their gear, and you can feel them check you out under their helmets. Your pulse quickens. But the breath you take is a little nervous. Sure, the knights around you have accepted you as one of their own. But you all follow a master. He could send you packing at any moment. And the whole concept of following a master in the first place makes you a little nervous.
The knights surround you, like you've come to expect, and the ramp opens to the sound of a loud, industrial docking bay. Something similar to the sound of the city, but more machines and engines.
"Whoa." You breathe as you step off the ramp.
The ceiling is high above you, officers and storm trooper squadrons running around everywhere. Small ships, big ships, medium ships. All of them black. You swallow, heart racing at the sheer enormity of the place. This can't be a ship. It's a fucking city.
The men stomp down the ramp with boredom, crossing the huge hanger to a wide corridor entrance. You smile a little when you notice all the frigidly dressed personnel scatter away fearfully at your approaching group. They look like little ants, and you're the giant predator, too powerful to even bother looking at the insects.
It feels so good.
You strut in the middle of your entourage, barely taking in the ship around you. But when you get into a lift, and there'sno more scared ants, your confidence falters. You're about to meet the Supreme Leader of the galaxy. Your new master. Will he accept you? Take on another knight? You killed the woman he sent the knights after. Will that be good enough for him?
