Chapter 13

Aino POV

It was the 6th day of staying at Aizawa's, my neck was covered with bite marks and hickeys even a couple more added from the past couple nights. I was sat on the sofa and was updating some homework assignments for after summer, I missed being at school, Aizawa would come back everyday with stories about the kids and everything that happened during the day. None of them knowing I was staying with Aizawa other than midnight and mic, midnight wasn't leaving it once she found out, kept on trying to come over all the time but since Aizawa's marked me it's been hard to hide them, I've been practicing covering them with concealer but that only does so much.

I put on one of Aizawa's turtlenecks to answer a zoom call from principal Nezu and the rest of the staff "hello all!" Nezu chirped from the comfort of his office, while Nezu rambled on about his teaching methods I got up and grabbed myself a drink from the fridge and a packet of crisps and sat back down noticing Aizawa's face in the call, chuckling to myself knowing he was proud of himself knowing he's marked me so much I've had to hide it. "Aino how is your recovery going?" Nezu asked as I took a sip "really well thank you I've regained alot of strength back in my legs and it isn't so painful to walk anymore" I smiled and adjusted the turtleneck making sure everything was hidden "are you needing any additional help with anything? I can get mic or anyone to help you if needed" Nezu was always so caring, I shook my head "no thank you I'm doing really well on my own" this made Midnight chuckle knowing the truth, mako crawled up to me and sat on my lap as the meeting went on.

"Right the reason I wanted to bring you all here is for the dorm plans, we have got new buildings made on campus approximately 5 minutes away from the main building, with these dorms there will be common rooms , bathrooms and everything student accommodation needs" Nezu went on about the dorms, this mainly applying to the home room teachers, I ate the crisps and paid little attention to the meeting. "Aino where are you? Looks different to your apartment" Vlad questioned and i froze for a moment "um oh! I just recently had it painted last week, the paint was fading in colour so I decided on changing it completely" I lied blatantly and saw midnight and mic try and hold back their laughs, thinking I got through this lie easily until mako decided on meowing loudly and standing up on my lap being seen through the camera. Watching mic and midnight burst into laughter as everyone else looked confused "oh no looks like I'm breaking up ckrhsksjsj sorry!" I quickly hung up and looked at Mako "you're gonna kill me one day aren't you"

While aizawa  was out I went for a shower and unwrapped my bandages looking at all the cuts as they were healing, my right arm being the worst nearly fully covered, along with my legs being badly sliced up. I washed myself before getting out and drying myself and putting on underwear and shorts along with Aizawa's turtleneck, i walked to Aizawa's room and dried off my hair before laying down and going for a quick nap.
I woke up hearing the door knock, I got up walking to the door rubbing my eyes and unlocked it seeing Midnight stood there "aren't you meant to be working?" I yawned and watched her walk in and closed the door behind her "aren't you meant to be recovering? Not getting it on with the guy helping to care for you" midnight chuckled, I blushed slightly " I don't know what you're talking about. Aizawa is just helping me" Midnight raised an eyebrow "helping you?" She moved the turtleneck down showing my neck "these hickeys and bite marks don't look like they're helping" I chuckled and moved back "okay fine with aizawa helping me we may have some fun there's nothing wrong with that" midnight chuckled and sat down "I knew Aizawa would like you the second I met you, the way he looked at you and introduced himself. He never introduces himself to new people, mic always does it for him" I sat down next to her and shrugged "I really like him, I remember being in that marble, I haven't told him this but I could still see everything happening, I saw how his face dropped seeing me being taken away.. I'm scared of getting hurt again and worrying him, so I gotta get stronger so I don't have to worry him" I sighed and leaned back.
"Relationships always confused me" midnight chuckled "luckily you guys aren't in one" I chuckled and checked the time "Aizawa's gonna be back in any minute now" I yawned and saw midnight get up "yeah yeah I know the gist don't wanna have a front row seat to whatever you two get up to" I waved her off as she walked out "I'll see you on Monday!" She left and I sighed getting up.

"Should I try and cook something?" I opened the fridge and saw it practically empty "gonna need food for that" I walked into Aizawa's room and put on a skirt and knee high socks and my platforms waiting for Aizawa to get back and put my wallet in my pocket. I waited for another 10 minutes before Aizawa finally coming back "don't bother getting comfortable we're going to the shops" I jumped up and walked over, Aizawa's face looking at me confused "why??"
"Cause I wanna cook for us tonight and your fridge is empty, my last night here before I go home tomorrow wanna at least make it nice" I pecked his cheek as he shrugged and closed the door locking it as we walked down the hall "I would've been fine wit takeaway again tonight, less layers needed for a night in" Aizawa winked and stood in the lift. "So you don't appreciate the outfit" I huffed and looked at him. "Oh no I love it, especially knowing under that turtleneck you're practically purple" Aizawa whispered into my ear as someone came in, my face flushing a bright red and coughing.
"Hey aren't you that pro-hero switchblade?" The person looked at me and smiled "lovely seeing you haven't fallen off the face of the earth, especially seeing you now with Eraserhead" they chuckled as I looked at Aizawa, face now going to a straight stern face "thank you! Yeah he's just helping me with work as we both work at UA now" I walked out the lift making conversation with the person as Aizawa walked ahead "uh- I'm so sorry, lovely meeting you" I bowed and ran to catch up with Aizawa and saw people looking, I knew I should've worn trousers, with all these cuts on my legs it looks like I'm in a different situation.

We got into the shop and looked around "hm how do you feel about miso soup and onigiri?" I looked at Aizawa as he nodded, I smiled and put the ingredients in the trolley and walked next to him, even if he wasn't showing it, I could feel the warmth of him around me, I felt safe around Aizawa. "What about desert ? We could pick up a cake from the bakery section" I followed Aizawa to the bakery section as we looked at cakes "I like that one" he pointed at this plain chocolate sponge cake with 'congrats on your engagement' on it, I chuckled and picked up the cake putting it in the trolley "didn't know we were engaged now" I chuckled and looked at aizawa as he put his arm around my shoulder "what you on about darling we've been engaged for a year" Aizawa attempted at making a joke which made me laugh for the opposite reason, not for being funny but being awkward seeing Aizawa act so differently. "Awh come on dear" he chuckled a bit, i laughed and pushed the trolley to the cash point and put all the stuff on the table.

We finally got home and put the cake down on the table, I took off the platforms and skirt and put on my shorts and saw Aizawa standing awkwardly in the middle of the kitchen "no setting fire to anything" I pecked his cheek and started preparing the food and watched Aizawa try and copy me, it was like he was a child, completely clueless. I used my finger to cut up all the food.
An hour and a half passed and we finished cooking "see not that hard" I smiled and sat down at the table with him and started eating, Aizawa's face lit up after taking the first bite "this is good damn, we made this, this is fire" Aizawa started filling his face and wasn't long till he got up for seconds.
