Chapter 30

Aino POV

It's been a couple weeks since Hosu and Aizawa's been going off to multiple meetings about the Hassaikai, leaving me at home with Mako. Now being moved in it felt kind of weird, like I was happy being with Aizawa a lot more now but it was such a change, we used the spare room that used to be storage into a storage room and where my makeup desk and wardrobe could go. I sat in the living room and watched the news while bored out of my mind, I groaned and got up looking in the fridge and saw we had barely any food in the fridge "fuck it I'm going shopping that's something I can do" I put on my shoes and a coat not really caring I was in my pyjamas and walked out locking the door, I got in the lift and left the apartment complex. I finally got to the shops and got a trolley "what to get what to get" I hummed to myself, I can't just get packets of noodles and snacks I'm not buying for myself anymore. I walked up each isle and grabbed things that could make meals, couldn't help myself and grabbed some instant noodles and put them in the trolley, looking at my phone scanning through mine and Aizawa's texts to see what else he liked eating before feeling my cart suddenly stop, I looked up and saw a tall male with a plague mask stand infront of me "shit sorry mate I wasn't paying attention" I chuckled and saw down by his hip a little girl fitting the description of what Aizawa told me 'bandages all over her arms and legs, long white unkept hair and a horn coming out of the right side of her head'
Shit. This is the Hassaikai guy overhaul, I took a quick mental note of the time and looked at the little girl and waved acting normal "hi aren't you adorable" I smiled and looked at her then the man, couldn't really tell what he looked like with the mask on, in the basket I could see a large amount of bandages being bought and painkillers "You really need to watch where you're going, someone could get hurt" he had a polite yet aggressive tone, pulling on his glove the little girl went back to his side. "Again I'm sorry, completely my fault, I should get going" I nodded and walked off, it felt horrible leaving that girl but I can't risk ruining another mission, especially if I'm not even apart of it. I quickly finished the shopping and got out and called Aizawa "hey is everything okay?" I sighed and walked around the block a couple times before getting home "Not really, I just saw that Overhaul guy you were talking about, didn't recognise him at first until I saw the little girl. Fit exactly what you said, horn and all. In the shopping basket there was a bunch of bandages and pain killers" I kept looking around making sure nobody was listening "He lifted at his glove after telling me to move else someone was gonna get hurt and the girl whimpered running up next to him" Aizawa had concern in his voice "did you get hurt or anything? Did he catch onto anything?" I got inside and locked the door "luckily no, I walked away as normal and it felt so fucking horrible leaving that girl behind" I sighed and put the bag down on the table. "Thank you for not doing anything, I'll let Nighteye know, I'll be back later than usual tonight okay?" I sighed and nodded "okay" I hung up and put the stuff in the fridge and cupboards "fuck.. I forgot drinks" I groaned and put my shoes back on going back out.

It was a bit darker by now so I kept my guard up, especially knowing that the overhaul is around here. I walked to the shop and straight to the drink section, picking up some coffee grounds and teabags with a bottle of raspberry lemonade for me "should I get us some alcohol? Yeah fuck it" I thought to myself and walked to the alcohol section and hummed looking at the drinks "never thought I'd see you here" a raspy voice spoke from behind me, I turned around and saw Colt, me and him used to date years ago when I was in our 3rd year of UA, did not end well. "Oh- hey Chik" I smiled, oh god why did it have to be him I'd be more happier if Dabi showed up and burned me to death bright now. "You used to not drink im surprised you got a bunch of alcohol in your basket" Chik laughed, I chuckled and nodded "Yeah a lot can change in 7years" strike me down please. "I don't see a ring on your finger, you single then?" Chik's face lit up, I turnt up my nose a bit and shook my head thinking what would get him to back off "No I'm not single, am engaged tho just getting the ring resized" Chik's face dropped, thank god for that "oh.. well who's the lucky guy" He tried bouncing back and acting cocky, I held back a smirk as I smiled softly "Eraserhead" his face fully dropping now, eyes widened "hold up the Eraserhead? The erasing quirk hero??" I chuckled and nodded "yup, pretty exclusive, I should get going we got visitors and I was just coming out to get extra drinks" I turned around and waved bye before grabbing another bottle and walking off to the cash point. I paid for the drinks and walked home, now really dark outside I took my time walking home taking a minute to just look around. I looked down at my phone and saw some missed calls from Aizawa, I stopped to call him back and leant against a wall "Hey I'm home where are you? I've called like 8 times I was worried" Aizawa's worried dad voice spoke through the speaker, I chuckled and started walking into the apartment complex and stood waiting for the lift "I just had to go out and get drinks, I'm waiting for the lift now I won't be long" I got into the lift and hung up before getting out and walking to the apartment and opened the door "see I wasn't far away" I smiled and closed the door behind me putting the bag on the counter top, Aizawa huffed and pulled me close "I got worried especially with you bumping into overhaul earlier on today" he cupped my cheeks in his hands and stroked his thumbs on my cheekbones "I know baby I'm sorry, I had my phone on silent" I kissed his hand and pulled away "at least on the bright side I got us some drinks, some fizzy, wine, vodka tea and coffee" I smiled pulling out the drinks before putting them into the fridge. I turned around to see Aizawa leaning on the countertop staring at me, I blushed slightly and looked around "is there something in my teeth or something?" Aizawa shook his head and kept on staring "nah just admiring you" I went bright red and opened the fridge and tried hiding my face in it and groaned "nooo" I felt his hands on my waist behind me and closed the fridge and looked up at him "You're too sweet sometimes" I huffed as Aizawa looked down at me and chuckled and kissed my forehead "hmm true what if I was just an asshole and never gave you any love or affection?" My eyes widened as I turned around facing him and wrapped my arms around him "you wouldn't dare, you can't say no to me" Aizawa raised his eyebrow and chuckled "true I can't"
