JUST A REMINDER TO EVERYONE!
this story is going by the mha anime story
line. at the moment this chapter is taking
place in season 3. please, if you do not want
spoilers, i advise you to finish the training
camp episodes in the anime. it would maybe
be best if you finish the anime before
reading this book tbh if you don't want spoilers!

YOU LET OUT a loud huff and plopped yourself right onto the ground. "i can't take this anymore," you whined, curling up into a ball. bakugou turned to your figure.

"oi! telephone! get up!" the ash blonde said, wiping his hands on his pants before grabbing the back of your shirt. "this is training camp!" he pointed out after setting you up straight to stand next to him.

you grabbed his wrist and set it to his side, "i'm aware, bakugou. i'm just really sore, after using my quirk a lot my limbs start to hurt." you said before grunting and grabbing another bolder. you let out a huff, "which is probably why i should get to work." you grumbled under your breath.

"more importantly! tonight's gonna be fun!" pixie bob exclaimed, grabbing everyone's attention. you stood up straight next to bakugou and turned to the pro hero.

"we're putting classes against each other in a test of courage! i know you've been training hard today, and later you get to play hard! how's that for a reward?!" pixie bob cheered. your arms hung low and your back slouched a bit at her comment.

"that just sounds like more training." you whined, earning a chop in the neck from katsuki. "don't hit me boom boy." you lightly pushed his hand away.

"don't slack now! make sure you keep on pushing yourself as you work!"

"yes ma'am!"

soon it was time for dinner— by soon i mean after a long day of nonstop training. you were dressed in a black crop top with jean shorts on, you wore checkered vans.

in your hands you held a couple logs for a fire. you turned to bakugou, your eyebrows raising a little as his hands were quick to cut vegetables. you leaned forward a little, "woah bakugou you're really good with that knife, it's weird." you stared down at his hands.

the explosion quirked male gritted his teeth and turned his head to you, you eyes still stuck onto his hands. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S WEIRD HOW CAN YOU PEOPLE BE SO DAMN BAD AT EVERYTHING?!" he shot back at you.

"look at that, he's not blowing stuff up." kaminari said as he walked past you and the angry pomeranian. you walked away from bakugou to bring the stacks of wood over to the fireplace where midoriya and todoroki happened to be.

bakugou turned to your figure that was near the two males, "oi, y/n." he called, despite being the littlest bit hesitant. you stood up straight and turned your body to your classmate.

you hummed in response, "yeah? did you need something?" you asked.

bakugou nodded his head, signaling you to come over to where he was cutting the vegetables. you made your way over to him and he slid a knife to you, making you tilt your head. "cut these." he said, shoving the goods towards you.

you raised your brows just a tad, nodding a little at his request. you were surprised that he asked for help. nonetheless you grabbed the knife and began cutting.

and it wasn't like katsuki bakugou needed or wanted help, that's how it was to him. but him seeing you by todoroki and midoriya just made him, well, he didn't know what it made him do. it triggered him to want you to be by him.

and he didn't know why.

"perfect! we filled our bellies and cleaned the dishes! it's time for..."

"a totally awesome test of courage!" mina cheered, finishing pixie bob's sentence.

"we're gonna win!" kaminari, sero, sato and kirishima added. you sweat dropped as you stared at your classmates, aizawa telling them how they would be using this time to have lessons with him. to which they weren't happy about of course.

"okay! so! class B is going to start out as our scarers! when they're in place class A will leave in groups of three every three minutes, there are tags with your names on them at the far end of the route. your goal is to collect those!" pixie bob explained.

"now, those who are scarers are not aloud to make physical contact! use your quirks to terrify the others, got it?!"

"the winners are the creative students who make the most people piss their pants!"

you crossed your arms, "this actually seems like fun." you said as you stood up straight.

"alright! everyone draw to see what your partner will be!" pixie bob held out papers with numbers on them. you grabbed one and read the number, it was one. you looked around for others who had the same number as you.

you looked over at tokoyami and shoji who were together, you jogged over to them. "hey what number do you guys have?" you asked your classmates.

"one, how about you?" shoji held up his paper. you flashed a quick smile and showed your number as well.

"looks like we're a group." tokoyami said. you turned to see bakugou stomping over to the three of you, aggression in his steps.

"trade y/n for icy hot!" he gritted his teeth. you looked over at todoroki who stood puzzled. you waved your hands a little at bakugou.

"sorry bakugou, i think we've got our group settled here already." you apologized, then pointed to todoroki. "besides, you're lucky to have todoroki as your partner." you pointed out.

you swore bakugou just hissed at you, stomping away angrily. "rivalry in the dark." tokoyami said, for god knows how many times he has said that. heck, no one even knows what the male means by that.

twelve minutes later groups began to head into the forest. you, tokoyami and shoji went in first. after a while with the scares you and your two other classmates were getting along. laughing, joking.

but the three you went quiet at the same time. you all stopped walking, to which they did the same for probably the same reason. "hey, do you guys smell that?" you asked.

"it smells like something is burning," tokoyami looked over his shoulder. you and shoji did the same.

"that's smoke." shoji said. you raised your brows in shock.

"do you think it's someone's quirk?" tokoyami turned to the two of you. you pursed your lips in worry.

"we can only hope it's someone in this camp," you said.

"everyone! two villains attacked us, it's possible there are more coming. everyone return to camp immediately. we're regrouping— do not engage any enemies."

your eyes widened, "i thought this was a closed off location? we barely have any teachers here," you stood up straight, ready to activate your quirk at any moment. the three of you were on high alert now.

you heard what sounded like a shard, something was bustling in the bushes. you turned around immediately, however shoji pushed you and tokoyami out of the way which resulted in one of his arms getting cut off.

you fell onto the ground, "shoji your arm," you pointed out the limb that was dripping with blood.

"shoji! l/n!" you turned to see tokoyami being dragged into a bush. you used your quirk to fight off the villain for a split second, however your reaction was a little too late which resulted in you getting a small cut on your leg.

your lips parted at the sight when you sat up straight a little, tokoyami was struggling.

"rivalry in the dark..." you repeated under your breath.
