A GRUNT ESCAPED your lips as you carried a large, heavy rock with your quirk. not being able to take the weight of the stone anymore you dropped the rock, heavily breathing. you placed your palms on your thighs and coughed— you were doing all of this for the sports festival.
knowing that you only had two weeks until the infamous event, you wanted to make sure you put all of your effort when you were fighting. just you and the objects you used to train— no one else.
you rubbed your arms as you stood up straight, grunting a little in the process. you began to carry the rocks as it was around seven o'clock and decided to train a little more.
"telephone!"
you turned around at the familiar voice that called out to you, waving at the source. "hey bakugou," you placed the rock down where you found it.
the hot head approached you, "what are you doing?" he muttered, blushing a little because of your outfit. you wore a black sports bra with black biker shorts, "i'm training, why?" you asked the hot head.
you stared at bakugou for a second. "we can train together if you want," you offered. "that's not- i wasn't- i didn't-" bakugou stuttered as you walked further away from each other. you stood in a fighting stance as you observed the boy's expression, wondering how he'll move.
dodging explosions from bakugou and using your own quirk you and bakugou both breathed heavily, exhausted after about fourty minutes of you and bakugou yelling at each other and training. you grunted, looking up at the dark sky. "we should head home now, it's late." you grabbed your phone and looked at the time.
throwing your bag around your shoulder you walked with bakugou. there was a silence between the two of you, "hey bakugou-" "shut up." he cut you off. you furrowed your eyebrows at him, "rude much." you commented.
"i already know what you were going to say, stop apologizing for things that aren't your fault." bakugou said, his voice now deep and soft unlike his usually loud and raspy one. you smiled a little, "i guess you can see right through me." you said and looked in front of you.
"do you want to train together again?" you asked, turning your head to bakugou. "what?" he looked (up/down) at you. you nodded, "we're all going to be competing against the whole grade in the sports festival, i figured that training by myself isn't really the best way to train. plus you're surprisingly fun to train with," you explained.
bakugou nodded, but then he gave you an angry look. "surprisingly?!" he yelled at you. you shrugged, "i'm being honest." you continued walking.
the ash blonde bit his bottom lip, "damn old hag actually likes you," bakugou muttered.
you tilted your head at him and furrowed your brows, "do you mean your mom? i don't know if i've told you this already but your mom didn't wait nine months for you to come out of her just for you to say this kind of shit about her," you commented, raising your arm to chop the back of his neck with your hand.
bakugou's breath hitched, "DID YOU, DON'T CHOP MY NECK!"
"anyways, do you want to come to my house tomorrow? since it's a weekend," you asked. bakugou opened his mouth a little, "for what?" he growled at you. you sighed, "for a straight A student you really are slow. to train you boom boy," you said.
"I'M NOT SLOW!" bakugou yelled. you covered his mouth, "you do realize it's almost 7:30 PM? people could be sleeping. speaking of which getting you home quicker would be smart, it's almost your bed time." you took your hand off of bakugou's mouth as the two of you walked.
bakugou tched, "whatever. but i can't train tomorrow, i'm busy." he muttered when the two of you arrived in front of his house. you bit your bottom lip, "give me your hand." you told the boy when you two stopped walking. he furrowed his eyebrows, "why?" he asked, a little flustered.
you grabbed a pen from your bag, "i'm going to write my address down on your hand. i have no paper," you answered. bakugou stuck his hand out and you held his wrist, writing down your address. you clicked your pen and placed it in your bag. "just head to my house whenever you're available to train," you told bakugou before walking away.
"telephone," bakugou called out to you. you stopped walking and turned around. "here," bakugou chucked his black hoodie at your face. you caught the piece of clothing and looked down at it, then back up at bakugou.
"in case some creeps come mess with you again." bakugou muttered. you placed your bag down on the ground and put the hoodie on, which was quite big on you.
bakugou opened his mouth a little as he blushed, but the pink color on his cheeks wasn't visible due to the darkness. you placed the hood on your head and smiled, throwing your bag around your shoulder. "thanks bakugou," you thanked him and began walking.
bakugou watched as you walked away and sighed, walking into his own house. bakugou threw his bag on the ground when he arrived in his room and plopped himself on his bed, placing both of his hands on his forehead.
he turned his head to look at the time and decided to get ready for bed. brushing his teeth he noticed his phone had vibrated, signaling that he got a notification. bakugou unlocked it and headed to messages where the notification had came from: it was a text from you.
