"I DON'T KNOW!" I shouted at Chiron who frowned as did Mr. D after answering their same question for the...I don't even know what time. I felt my eyes water as I slammed my fist down on the table and the whole big house shook. Chiron, Mr. D, and I looked around after the shaking finally stopped. "I don't know..." I sniffled as I pulled my legs into my chest after scooting back on the chair.
"Well..." Chiron said as he and Mr. D exchanged looks. "You are something significantly above a demigod even if you do not remember what."
"I will consult my dear old dad then, see what the next steps are."
"NO!" I said a bit more forcefully than intended, and way more fearfully than intended. "Please...don't."
"Why?" Chiron asked and I just shook my head.
"I don't know...I just...I'm so scared."
"We could consult the oracle first? See what she says before proceeding with your plan Dionysus."
"Fine," Was all the god said before sitting back down. "Jesse do not cause any problems at my camp. My sentence is excruciating enough as it is and I do not need it extended further am I clear?"
"Yes sir," I said with a nod and held my legs tighter. "Yes sir," I whispered again.
"Good, this meeting is done then," He said with an annoyed sigh and got up and left.
"This was why you spared alone with me, wasn't it? Cuz Mr. D suspected something..." I muttered and Chiron sighed with a nod.
"Yes. He said there was something off about you after watching you a bit. Now we have an inkling as to why. That being said you cannot attend the game this Friday. Nor can you stay in the Hermes cabin. You'll stay here in the big house."
"Fine."
"I suspect we'll be watching you closely," Chiron said gesturing to himself and Dionysus.
"Yeah, figured that."
"Now go up to the attic and see the Oracle. Tell me what was said after."
Only nodding I got up and followed the stairs up to the attic, climbing into it when I reached the end of the stairs.
"Welcome Issusius. Do you finally seek your quest in this time?" A ghostly female voice said as my eyes landed on a corpse of a girl sitting in a rocking chair.
"What the hell?" I shouted as I fell backward onto the ground and the corpse said nothing. "Ok, a corpse of a girl is the Oracle I am supposed to be seeking. Right..." I muttered to myself as I got to my feet. As I did, however, her words struck me. She called me Issusius...she asked if I was seeking a quest in this time? What is "this time," supposed to mean? "You know who I am don't you? You clearly know something about me, what is it? What do you mean by in this time?" No response was given, clenching my fists I glared at her. "TELL ME!" I shouted angrily and the house rumbled much more violently this time, it was me before... Yet still no response from the Oracle. "Fine, yes I seek my quest.." I said through gritted teeth.
"You shall ally yourself to the heroes of this time on your journey through the past. You shall discover memories of those who have forgotten you upon seeing a future. At the end of this destiny, you shall save something invaluable but lose something just as great."
"Well that just seems needlessly complicated," I said with a scoff. "Whatever."
After returning to the downstairs I was met by an irritated looking Mr. D and stoic Chiron.
"By Hades! you get whatever those abilities are under control cuz you almost destroyed my house."
"Sorry Mr. D, didn't mean to."
