The Hylian Shapeshifter (OOT Link x reader)

Part 1: Chapter 6

I'll protect you from all of them.

A month passed by. Link came to check up on you when he could.

Opening your eyes, you see Impa. "How're you feeling kid?"

"Um. Better. What happened?" You asked, rubbing your head. "Link had to cut parts of your skin to let go of the poisoned blood you had. Then..you fell unconscious. Ever since, it's been a month."

"A month?! Where's Link?"

"At Hyrule Castle. He defeated Ganondorf so everything is back to normal." Impa responded. You quickly got up and put your boots on. "You can't move yet, you still have to heal-" You had left the room.

Running outside of Kakariko village, you stumbled upon Castle town. You headed to the Temple of Time and there he was.

"Link!" He was about to place the Master sword on its pedestal. "You're awake.." He dropped the sword and quickly went to hug you.

"I know you would be fine, but I missed you so much." He said. You hugged back. "If it wasn't for you, I would be dead..but you saved me!"

Facing each other, he held your face softly. You suddenly got nervous. What is going to do? Ohhh.

"That reminds me.." He got his hands off you. "Your parents are alive, (Y/N)."

"What..?"

"After Dolion died, they appeared. They were controlling him. Shapeshifting must've helped them all this time." He started thinking. "That can't be! They're supposed to be dead!"

"They said next time we'll see them is once you've woken up."

In Kakariko village, you packed your bags. "Where will go?" Impa asked. "To search for answer. I have to see them.." Deep down, you didn't know what to do. Where to go. You don't have a clue.

You nodded to Link. Outside of the village, you stopped. "What's wrong?" Link looked back.

"I don't know where to go."

Link took out his map. "Let's see..we can head to Zora's domain and ask. It's right down that river." Link pointed to your left. You two walked your way to the domain.

"Have you see any suspicious activity around here..?" You asked a Zora once you arrived. "Not me, no. If you want an answer, see the princess. She can tell you."

Link walked really slow. "Hm?"

"Sorry, I'm just really-"

"Link! My fiancé!! What brings you here!?" A blue Zora came in hugging Link out of nowhere. "Ruto!" Link blushed. Ruto. That's her. "We just came to ask if-"

"You can ask me anything!"

"Has there been anything weird recently?" He asked. "Now that you mention it, yes. The wind has been acting really strange around here. Like if something was coming from far east.." She said, getting all serious. "I want to check it out, but father won't let me!!" She pouted.

"We can go check it out." You followed Link who was leaving. "You will?! Good luck!!" Ruto waved goodbye.

So you began heading east. "What was that?" You laughed. "You're her fiancé-"

"I'm not! She just didn't want to marry the dude whom her father chose!! I just happen to save her, that's it." Link got so defensive, it was cute. You giggled. "Well, we better hurry so I won't miss the wedding!" While making smooching sounds, you ran. "There won't be a wedding!!" Link followed.

You were looking back at him until you bumped into someone. Falling onto the floor, you looked up to see a buff man. "Sorry, sir-"

The man went humpf. Link caught up. He took your hand to walk around the man but he stopped you two from going any further.

What was ahead of you three, was a big ocean. "Oh wow.."

"Is there something here..?" You asked the man. He nodded. He seemed..aggravated.

"Anything new?" You and Link heard behind you. A woman in a cloak was asking the man.

He shook his head. "And them?" She sighed. "Come, travelers. Follow."

There was a cabin nearby where you three walked in. "A shapeshifter and a hylian..I never thought I'd see the day where two would come together like that." She said, taking off her cloak. Turning around, her face had marks and symbols. Her eyes were white.

"How do you know what we are?"

"Because I'm a shapeshifter, too. We can sense these things."She responded to Link. "I certainly can't." You said. "You still have so much more to learn, (Y/N). I saw what happened a month ago..it was devastating to see that."

"Right..We're looking for-"

"Your parents. They're across the ocean..I know you want to cross, but the problem is there's a beast underneath..It lurks everyday for anything to eat. Adofo has been trying to search for safety around the ocean. Food sources has stopped because of it."

"That's why he stopped us." Link said.

"My name is Cecillo. I've been blind all my life, so I trained every day to sense things for my own good. It really helps." She said, smiling. You all heard a scream from outside. "Adofo!" She shouted. You all ran outside to see the beast Cecillo was talking about roaming around the ocean.

It began making a noise only you and Cecillo could hear. The noise was painful to your ears, it was like your eardrums were about to burst. "Ahh!!! Ouch!!" You got down and tried to cover your ears. Cecillo only made a slight change in her face. "(Y/N)! Are- Are you alright?!" Link looked at your ear which was bleeding.

Once it stopped, you felt relieved. "You and I can only hear that sound based on our senses. The reason we all train for this is because they're much more sensitive than Hylians. We have to be able to adapt to such noises." She said.

The beast left, leaving everyone clueless.

Going back inside, you were cleaning the blood from your ears. Link was outside with Adofo.

"You love him, don't you?" She smiled. "What?"

"That boy. He seems to have strong feelings for you as well." Cecillo got close to you. Your face felt warm. "Let me help you become a better shapeshifter. Right now, you are very weak. I don't know how you pulled off that incident."
