The Hylian Shapeshifter (OOT Link x reader)

Part 3: Chapter 17

May you be victorious

The thought of you destroying him was something he couldn't bare, for years he trained and fought his way to you. He was stronger than Duvessa, but still needed a distraction.

You walked past Zora's Domain, to the village. There was someone floating all alone.

"The more you stay in the past, your memories will fade." She said. "Cecillo..I know you're strong. You've been training since you were a child to prove to Duvessa that there was nothing wrong with you..I know." You spoke.

"I'll help you, (Y/N). Not for Duvessa." She stood and smiled at you. Both of you walked in Hyrule Field, on your way to the shape-shifter civilization.

"I would be careful if I were you." Cecillo stated. "Why do you say that?"

"That sword you carry is dangerous, and that magic you have is very powerful. Your Hylian side is the reason you wield it. I wouldn't say to use it lightly but wisely. Put all of your strength to equal the magic's power."

"I will..By the way, why are we heading over there?" You asked. "To defeat them once and for all."

"What?! Now?!" You were shocked at Cecillo's fast decision. "He gets stronger as time goes by, this is the perfect chance if you ask me."

You two started running.

Link was hiding behind a tree with Adofo. "We have to lure it out of here!" He panicked. "How?! We've tried everything." Adofo responded.

You and Cecillo arrived.

Duvessa and Brone stood in front of you within a couple of miles.

"(Y/N), you will help me, but not for a few minutes." She pushed you. You blinked and appeared in a completely different place.

A calming atmosphere, it felt so safe. Surrounded by clouds, a green light flew around you and created a golden triangle.

A blue light turned into another triangle, then a red light came in, standing on top of the other triangles, creating the final one.

"The Triforce?"

Link's hand and Zelda's were glowing. In the past, a gerudo child looked at his hand.

Blinking again, you were back with Cecillo.

You didn't know what you were doing. "Your memories (Y/N)!" Cecillo shouted. Duvessa used her power to send all four of you to your timeline.

As Cecillo, Duvessa and Brone were thrown on the ground. Your power was transforming. The Triforce was helping you.

The beast that was remained in Hyrule headed to you, but you stopped it and made it shape-shift itself. When you were done, you got down in front of Brone. "Did you forget we're in the present?" He said.

Present Brone took you by surprise. Him and past Brone were going against you.

Adofo and Cecillo stopped Duvessa. "You will pay for what you did to my parents!!" He was angry. Link was fighting with the beast who you changed.

You were firing your magic at both Brones, until one turned you around to grab the Sword of Time and intended to stab you. You were stopping the sword with all of your strength and magic. "You will go back where you belong!!"

Past Brone grabbed your head as the other one pulled you. They both backed away as Link attacked them.

"(Y/N)! Are you okay?" He asked you. "Yeah..If it wasn't for you, I would've gotten ripped in half..!" You responded.

He kept fighting the beast.

Adofo and Past Cecillo were losing against Duvessa. "I can't do it!!" Adofo cried out.

Someone stood behind Duvessa. She turned to see Cecillo, who was older. She ran towards Duvessa and suddenly turned into a small animal to confuse her tracks in order to get her off guard. Turning back to a human, she kicked Duvessa with incredible strength.

"We have to send them back to their original timelines, not kill them!"

You grabbed the Sword of Time from the ground and threw it to her. She caught it, thank the goddesses.

Link killed the beast and ran to help. Cecillo threw the sword to Link. "We have to send Duvessa last!"

Duvessa pushed you as Brone stabbed you from behind. "(Y/N)!!"

Both Brones killed Cecillo next. "Link!!" Adofo was next.

Link saw everyone on the ground. The Triforce protected him for a while. He heard a tune and realized. "I have the sword and the Ocarina of Time!"

"Please! Lend me your power!!" He shouted as he played the Ocarina. The sword began glowing. Everything changed around him.

Everyone was alive. He pushed you out of the way to stop Past Brone. "You are just a simple Hylian capable of nothing!!"

You fired a magic ball against Past Brone. Link slashed him, sending him back to the past.

You held Brone from getting to Link.

Past Cecillo got slashed into the past.
Cecillo distracted Duvessa for him to get his chance. "No-" And just like that, they were gone.

You fought against Brone so Link could stab him with the Master Sword. "You're Hylian.."

Brone's ears were pointy. "All shapeshifters will die!!" He reached for you, until your magic was devouring his power and body, making him vanish. It's what the magic did to Hylians.

Link ran to you, grabbing your hands and face. "You're okay." He said softly. "You look like if I just died." After saying that, he hugged you. "You saved all of us. You did it!" He smiled.

He stood by your side. Cecillo walked towards you. Placing her hand on your head level. "I've waited for so many years..I can't see you, but I can feel you. Thank you." She said.

Adofo spoke. "It felt nice to get a bit of revenge, for what she did to my family."

"What will you do next?" You asked them both.

"Go back home. I can't stay here." Cecillo smiled at you and flew away.

"I don't have anywhere to go.." Adofo looked down. "Stay with us!" Link offered. "Really?"

You nodded. "You helped us a lot! We can't leave you!"

"Thank you so much!!" Adofo hugged you both.

Far from Hyrule, to the village where you and Link had visited, Cecillo stood there. Alone. She's lived there for so many years. Alone. "It wasn't Duvessa who made you dream. Sorry."

This is the end of the main story, but I will keep writing a few more chapters that'll have more Link and (Y/N) moments, and a tiny quest.
