Part 3: Chapter 13

Link's awakening

There were still many people who were affected by Duvessa's power and you planned on saving them all. "You think we should split?" You asked Link. He shook his face.

"If something happens to you, I want to be there." He said. Duvessa turned. "Aren't you two very close! It's so romantic if you think about it. For how long have you known each other?"

You let Link speak. "Since we were children. We both had no parents and were raised by the Great Deku Tree back in Kokiri forest."

"Reeeeaalllyy?"

You nodded. Link gasped. "Enemy ahead!!"

Duvessa suddenly shouted in pain. "Hey!" You tried holding her. "I'll deal with it!" Link ran.

You slowly looked up at Link and felt a spark in your heart. In your stomach.

The way he fought the monster with the Master sword .It was how he held the sword and his shield. It was so..-

Duvessa saw your face.

His muscles being noticeable through the tights of his green tunic. Those blue eyes that stood out so much which looked so well with his golden hair that was split from the middle.

Oh, to be someone he's protecting.

Once he killed the monster, he reached out his hand to you and Duvessa. She stood up quickly. You took it and slowly stood up. "Are you okay?" He got close to you.

"Yes, I'm okay." You were flustered and screaming on the inside. 'Hylia! What was that?!'

Stopping for a break, a little far from Zora's domain, you built a campfire. Duvessa slept minutes later.

You were next to the river. "Really, are you okay? You seem disturbed." Link was next to you. "Is there something I did?"

"What?! No! Not at all! You did nothing. Seriously. No." You shook your head to his silly question. Din smiled at you. He was on Link's back now.

"I'm just a little tired, that's all."

"If that's the case, you should rest." He was always so caring. He hasn't changed. After those 7 years when you finally saw him again, you feared he was a different person.

You two looked at each other's eyes and a random teen boy passed by you.

"Link-"

In the background, the teen boy was trying to steal from Duvessa. Link shouted. "Stop there!!"

The boy started running.

You and Link started running after him. You shape-shifted into a bird fast enough to catch him. Shapeshifting back in front of him, he pushed you into the water. Link pulled you with the hook shot. Taking your hand, you kept running. Din ran to the boy and tripped him.

Catching up to him, Link tied him up.

"Arghh! Let me go!! You..stank-" The boy turned to you. "On second thought, I truly, truly apologize! Please let me go?" He faked puppy eyes.

"What did you steal?!" You asked.

"Why did you steal?!" Link asked next.

"Who did I steal?! I didn't have anything in mind, okay? All I found were glowing crystals! I stole because I need money!" The boy shouted. "But if you allow me to steal this girl, I can give back the crystals if they're that important to you." He told Link.

"You're stealing no one. Just give the crystals back!"

"You can't do anything, either way." The boy seemed smug.

"What if we take him to Princess Zelda?" You asked. "Would that be a good idea? I mean, she has authority, but is it that important?" Link responded. Looking back at the boy, he looked like his soul left his body just by hearing the princess's name.

"Listen, I'll make you a de-"

"We don't want a deal!" You and Link claimed. "Just listen to me!! Goddesses! Okay. Why are you guys out here? You're looking for something, no? I see it, you two are magical, it's impossible for you to just be casually walking. I can keep the crystals and in return, I can help you on your adventures! How does that sound?"

Link thought about it. "These aren't our crystals.."

Duvessa woke up and ran to you. "What are you doing with my things?!"

"We caught him trying to steal them." Link handed her bag of crystals back to her. You told her about the offer he said.

"I had these crystals when I woke up, I hoped to find something about them, but nothing yet." Duvessa explained. "Sooo, yes?" The boy was impatient. "He could give us information on the people affected. I'll give them to him."

"Are you sure?" You and Link asked her for reassurance. Duvessa nodded. Link let go of the boy. "Thank you! My name's Adofo!"

Black hair and eyes. He was Link's height. Link noticed something. His ears. They were round.

You were quiet. Adofo, from your dream.

He brought the three of you to a little cabin, his home. "Make yourself at home! As long as you don't send me to the princess, we can be friends!" His vibe was fairly optimistic.

Duvessa kept sleeping.

Adofo served you and Link some tea. "Sorry for the trouble back there.." He got close, wrapping his arm around you. "What's your name? We should talk."

"Get off me." You strictly said whilst you and Link looked at Adofo with empty eyes.

He did so and went to bed.

"He was in my dream. Not as a boy, though. Duvessa, and the whole thing with me being half hylian- and Brone. All that's left is.."

Link turned. "What's left?"

"I'm not sure..I don't know what coming next."

You had an idea.

You and Link sneaked out quietly. Going a little past Zora's domain, you see a big land.

"If I remember, it's all the way over there. Here, I made fun of you because Ruto was all on you, then you started chasing while I ran..and then.." Going a little further, you see the ocean. "Here's where I met Adofo, but he was a big muscular man. He didn't speak at all."

You were recreating everything you could remember. Link watched. "There was a girl. She was blind, her name was Cecillo. She had white clothing."

Link looked to the side and saw a house.

You were spooked, so Link took your hand for comfort. "There's nothing here..We should go back, Link."

He nodded.
