Dear Diary ~ 03

Nini pov:

Kourtney, Gina and I are already best friends. Ricky was right, Gina is really nice and so is Kourtney.

I'm just happy to have found such great friends on my first day here. They told me a lot about my now brother too, it's still weird saying that. On our way back home from school we had a nice conversation "You seem to be close to Kourtney and Gina." I had to giggle "I am, I would say we're best friends." He looked at me a bit confused "Why are you laughing?" "No Reason, I just heard a few interesting story's about you."

Ricky was shocked, but started laughing a bit after a few seconds.  "at least you know me better now. Wait, they did not tell you the about the time I broke my moms vase will playing baseball inside?" I started laughing "They did and the details were to die for. At least the vase was ugly." Ricky started laughing when we got to our house.

I smiled while getting out of the car. We walked into the house and I just couldn't stop laughing. "Why are you two laughing?" Lynne asked, I just can't call her mom yet. "Turns out Nini knows more about me than I wanted her to, all thanks to Kourtney and Gina." She smiled "I'm glad you already found friends you get along with great." I nodded "I never expected that either, but I'm glad it happened."

I quickly ran up the stairs into my room. Should I unpack or do my homework? I decided to do my homework first. I wouldn't do it if I don't do it right away. That's the one thing I learned from being in an orphanage for 2 months.

Most of it wasn't to bad except English, which was a disaster "Write a short text about your favourite family member. "I sighed and put my head onto the table. Great, I know them for not even 2 days and the rest of my family is either dead or doesn't care about me. I started to think, which took way longer than expected. At the end I decided to write about the person, who I like most or know best.

When I finished I continued to unpack and well I didn't know I had that much stuff. I really had to find a box where I could start collecting my polaroid's, I already had a few.

Shortly after I found a Box that would fit and put the first one inside, I hope I'll collect many more.  When I finished I looked around at the room that is my new home and smiled. I like it here, then my eyes fell on my diary. I went to my desk to grab a pen and decided to start writing in my diary again.

Dear Diary,

My life has changed a lot in the past few weeks. My parents died and I found out that my family doesn't care about me. Its still hard for me, but I've definitely gotten used to it a bit more. Since yesterday I'm also in a family. They adopted me and I'm so glad about it. They are really nice, espically my now Brother. His name is Ricky and he is my age. By the way he is not the best at baseball. I hope from now on my life will be better, like it used to be.

I closed my diary and put it into my nightstand. I laid down on my bed and looked at the ceiling. Hopefully I'll be happy in my new life, fingers crossed. Todays was a great start and I hope it'll stay this way.
