Nini pov:I was sobbing uncontrollably while he pulled his pants back up. Suddenly his hand connected with my face "Be quiet, would you." I continued crying, but in silence. "I'll send someone to get you some food" He said right as he walked out of the door and locked it.
I felt helpless. If I would not have ran away, I would still be safe at home with my parents and my brother. That only caused me to cry even more. I had no idea how much time passed when suddenly the door burst open. "Move" A guy yelled at me.
I tried to stand up, but my legs felt too weak. He ran towards me and yanked me up. Then he pulled me behind himself out of the room. Next to the door laid a body, he looked dead.
I gasped but had no time to stop and check if he actually was because I was pulled into a different room. The guy walked through multiple doors with me until we finally reached the outside of the building. Right next to the door laid a body. He seemed to be dead, but I could see his chest still moving up and down. I am pretty sure the guy who pulled me out of the building thought he was dead, so I acted like he was. "Get in the car" he told me when the black van pulled into the driveway of the building. I took a step forward to get into the van when I heard sirens and gunshots.
It all happened so fast. One minute I was pushed to the floor and the next the guy next to me was shot dead. I didn't check if he was dead, but the bullet hit him right in the head. A few seconds later two people with police uniforms walked towards me. "Are you Nina Bowen?" I had to think for a second, since no one had ever called me by my new last name, but then I nodded my head.
The officer on the left was saying something to other people around while the one on the right lead me to an ambulance. On my way there I passed multiple dead or injured people.
Only one of them seemed to be a police officer though. As soon as I got to the ambulance, I was checked out from head to toe. Shortly after they found out I'm not injured except a small bruise that could be fixed with some ice.
Ricky pov:
As soon as they called us and said that Nini was safe we all rushed to get to her. They told us that she wasn't injured so we would be able to pick her up at the local police station. We got there to see them just getting into the building. She did not see us, but one of the officers did. He told us that we could wait inside until they got her statement.
I sighed in annoyance but nodded my head, so did my parents. Half an hour later they told us that we should get our car since they would be done soon. My parents did that while I waited for her to come out. When she did, she immediately ran into my arms. "I'm so sorry" She said in tears.
I rubbed my hand up and down her back "It's not your fault. I betrayed your trust and I get that you were mad. But right now, all that matters is that you're safe and not hurt in anyway." Shortly after I let go of her and we made her way to the car. I reached the car before Nini since she still had weak legs for some reason.I turned around to see how far away she was when I heard a gun go off. My eyes fell on Nini's lifeless body while fell to the ground.
I ran towards her to check her pulse but there was none. She was dead.
