Ricky pov:I never ever want to fight with Nini again. Our parents never found out about it, since the two of us decided to keep this a secret from them and our friends. Except Gina, Kourtney and Big red, who already knew. "Ricky stop" She said while laughing.
I was tickling her sides to make her forget what had happened just a few short hours before. "Seriously Ricky. I know why you're doing this." Nini still continued laughing "I won't stop until I know it worked." "It did, now please stop." I stopped tickling her and suddenly she pushed me back. Now she was tickling my sides. A few minutes later she stopped and laid down next to me on the couch. I put a blanket over her. Since it was pretty cold today.
"Thank you, Ricky." I smiled "Of course Nini. How about we watch high school musical?" She nodded with her eyes closed. "Are you tired?" She nodded her head again. "I might fall asleep during the movie." I smiled "Sure."
At the end of the movie, I looked at my sister who was sleeping on the other side of the couch. She needed that now, after the day we had.
A few hours earlier
It was the end of the school day and I was waiting for Nini. We had rehearsal for the Musical this afternoon, but before we decided to go and get ice cream, since Miss Jenn gave us a 20-minute break. "I want chocolate." She said while running towards me. Nini jumped into my arms and I caught her.
"You seem happy." I let her back down and she just smiled at me. She got into the car followed by me shortly after. As soon as we got to the ice cream store she jumped out of the car and ran inside. I started laughing. My sister is in love with Ice cream, so it didn't really surprise me. I parked the car before following her inside. I looked around but did not see her. Instead, I saw our usual orders sitting on a table near the window. Now I was officially worried. Especially since Nini loves her ice cream more than anything.
I walked up to the person who was selling the ice cream "Hey, did you happen to see a small brunette with light blue jeans and a white floral top?" The person nodded their head "Yeah, she bought that ice cream over there." They nodded their heads towards the ice cream I had already noticed. "Why were you asking?" "She's my sister and I can't seem to find her. Do you happen to know where she went?"
Again, the person nodded their head "Yes. This guy came up to her and they exchanged a few words before she followed him outside." I quickly thanked them before running into the direction the person had told me. How did I miss them? If they really went there, they would have walked past me. And then it hit me, they must have lied to me. Without hesitation I ran back into the store and saw Nini sitting there with a man. The man looked familiar, but I can't seem to figure out from where. "Nini" I called out. She turned around and immediately a smile formed on her lips.
She motioned me to come over. I glared at the man before sitting down next to her. "Weren't you just leaving anyways?" She asked the man, who quickly nodded and left. As soon as he left the store, she pulled me out of the store by my hand. "Woah calm down. What's wrong?" Before a word left her lips, she started crying. "You're ok." I pulled her into my arms, and she leaned her head against my chest. "I'm scared."
I moved some hair out of her face. "What are you scared of Neens?" Suddenly her grip on me tightened and then this man came up to us again. "Think about it Nina" is all he said before walking to his car and driving off. When he was out of sight, she let go of me a bit "Please don't let go. Can we stay like this for a bit?" I nodded my head, although she probably can't see. "Of course."
While we were silent questions formed in my head. Why did this man know her? Why did he call her Nina? It is her actual name, but no one ever calls her that. What was he talking about? And most importantly why did he hide somewhere with her when I came to search for her?
My thoughts were interrupted when she let go of me. "Thank you, I needed that." Without giving me any kind of explanation, she climbed into my car and left me there confused. When I got into the car she had already put on headphones. I knew she was avoiding me because she knew I would ask questions.
Present time
After she fell asleep, I carried her up to her room. I took out her hair tie, since I knew she hated sleeping with one on. Then I took of her jacket and covered her with her blanket. This was not the first time I had put her to bed. It actually happened quit often, but I don't mind it. Right as I was going to leave, she started shaking. I quickly walked back up to her to shack her awake. "Nini wake up." She abruptly sat up "Neens you had a nightmare." Nini slowly and hesitantly nodded her head.
„Do you want to talk about it?" She shook her head before hiding her head in her pillow. I placed my hand on her arm to try and comfort her. "You don't have to tell me, but I can only help you if you do. I can promise you I will always listen to you." She nodded her head but didn't take it of the pillow. "If you change your mind I'll be in my room. Good night Nini." I did not look at her while I walked out of the room.
I knew something bad happened the minute she hugged me when we got out of the store, but when she had that nightmare, I was sure that it was something way worse. I might be a bit mad at her for not telling me, but then I also don't know what she's hiding so I relay can't be. After getting ready for bed I fell onto my bed. I yawned, since today was a long day, before turning my lights off. I fell sleep thinking about my sister in the room right next to mine.
Who do y'all think that man is and what did he want from Nini?
