The truth ~ 11

Nini POV:

I woke up in the middle of the night due to a nightmare. My Body was still slightly shaking, and I noticed that I had been crying. All these memories were still prominent in my head. I turn my head to look out the window, since that normally calms me. But no tonight. I saw the way to familiar face in the tree next to it. I scream, which woke Ricky up.

He came running into my room. "Hey, what happened?" "He-e" is all I got out through sobs. He walked over to me to collect me in his arms. "It's ok, you're safe." His hand was rubbing up and down my back in an attempt to calm me. That didn't work at all though, which he quickly noticed. "I know you don't want to, but you have to tell me why you had two nightmares today already." I sighed knowing I definitely had to tell him. "I-I saw the guy from the ice cream shop in the tree." "You were probably just imagining it."

I shook my head "No I saw him in the tree with his weird grin." He walked over to the window and opened it. Instead of coming right back and telling me there was nothing Ricky looked down and quickly shut the window. "Nini who is that man?" I looked at my hands, which were tightly intertwined. "Someone from my past." I knew exactly who he was, but I somehow couldn't tell him. He comes closer to me to hug me again. "I figured, but I know you to well by now. You know exactly who is and what he wants from you." I nodded my head "I do know. It's just hard to say." He lifts me up, so I was sitting in his lap. He put the blanket around me.

I must have looked like a baby. It made me feel safe though. "You're safe here, I promise. Whatever happened it'll be ok." A few sobs escaped my eyes "But I know it won't be." He started playing with my hair in another attempt to calm me. "We'll figure it out. I can promise you that." I really wanted to tell him, I really did, but I just couldn't so I decided to tell him everything he needed to know. "That man is my Uncle." He was visibly shocked "I don't know what to say." I nodded my head against his chest "You don't have to say anything about it." "Why the fuck is your uncle this scary. Wait-" Ricky cut himself off.

„Is he the guy, who tried to run you over?" I bit down on, my bottom lip "Yeah. I think so." His grip on me tightened "Neens, why is your uncle trying to kill you?" Suddenly I felt like I couldn't breathe anymore. "Breath with me" I did as I was told. Shortly after I regained my breathing. "Are you ok?" I shook my head and started crying. "Hey its ok. You're safe here." I hesitantly nodded my head "I think I am. You don't know what he is capable of doing." "I will protect you. You have to tell me the truth though."

I took a deep breath "Well there are two reasons, but for the first on i can only assume. After the car crash, I found out that my moms were rich, like really rich. Apparently, my uncle knew and since if all three of us died he would get all the money."  His eyes widened in shock "Ok one, your mom where what! And second, how the hell did you never tell me?" I shrug my shoulders "I was just not sure how to tell you and I found out most of it today." He put a strain of hair behind my ear. "Is that why you are scared of him?" I hesitated before shaking my head "Well yeah, but that's not the main reason."
