➳Chapter~42

"Hey mom." You gave her a small forced smile as soon as she answers the door.

"Y/n? What are you doing here?!"

"I came to visit you." You chuckled and entered with your bags. She eyes them. "Well.......that doesn't seem like a visit."

"Yeah..........I came to stay with you for a while." She raises her eyebrows. "And..........where's jungkook?"

"He's kinda busy so he didn't tag along. I came by cab." Her eyes widened. "Oh well, was jungkook that busy that he didn't come to visit me? He generally does."

"He is actually out of town. I was just feeling lonely so I decided to stop by here."

She nodded but you were unsure whether she bought it or not. "Ok then........" After you had married, you had bought your mom a house in Seoul so that she could be closer to you. Since she didn't want to sell her older house, it's still standing in Busan while she shifted closer to you.

"I missed you!" You grin and hugged her tightly pecking her cheek. "Aww.......I missed you too. And I can also feel your little baby bump. How's my little grandchild doing?!" Initially, you had told her about jungkook's infertility issue and she had consoled him.

The woman knew what he was going through since she had experienced it herself. Your mom was extremely happy that you had finally gotten pregnant and you had even visited her to show her the sonography reports.

"It's a girl." You giggled seeing her eyes widening. "Oh my god, really?!" The woman gasped and held your belly. You quickly nodded. "I had just found out a few days also and I decided to tell you once I visit you."

She cupped her mouth and her glossy eyes stared at your stomach with adoration. "I'm so happy!!"

You got tired of standing so you sat on sofa. "Have you decided the name yet?" To tried to maintain your faltering smile. "No we haven't."

"Well then what are you waiting for?! Let's decide some cute names for my grand daughter!"

"Calm down mom!" You laugh. "I'm excited! Don't tell me to calm down!!"

"Fine! Go jump around the house till I have some snacks!" You snort and walk up to the kitchen. She follows you.

"Now that you are here, I'm going to take good care of you. I'm gonna feed you and the little girl a lot of healthy things!"

"Thanks mom." You smile and toss the orange slice in your mouth with jungkook still lingering in your head.

"Who told you to buy things from that shop only when there are dozens in your street?!"

"They sell my favourite sandwiches!!" Jungkook groaned and fell back on the couch. "Stupid sandwiches."

"Well then how the fuck would I know that y/n would go there out of nowhere at 7 in the morning?! That was literally 5 blocks away and your block has their own park and shit! She literally walked the opposite direction!" Taehyung  chewed on the roll and continued. "And she must have slept right besides you right? Didn't you pay attention?"

"She slipped away quickly. And I was fast asleep."

"From when did you started sleeping heavily?"

"I had sex the night before." The older tched and threw the dish in sink. "Well then that's your fault for being horny."

"She started it!"

"You didn't get up on hearing her!" Jungkook sighed and rubbed his temple in frustration. "You gave her the phone right?"

"Yeah I did."

"Well....... if you look at it in her perspective.........she's right." Jungkook's tched. "Please don't start now. I know what I did was wrong. I had lost my mind and was stressing out too much. Didn't realise she had her say in this.....I was only trying to protect her."

The younger sighed and closed his eyes. "I hate myself.........
.I'm the one who did this to her."

"Did what?" Jin frowned and asked. "She accidentally drowned in bathtub yesterday. When I pulled her out.........she was crying loudly. The only reason I couldn't hear her voice and failed to notice it earlier was.........she was choking underwater."

Seokjin and taehyung looked at each other. "It was too much for her and she had a breakdown."

"I hurted her.......really really bad. She doesn't trust me anymore."

"She is coming back right?"

"She said she doesn't know........" His glassy eyes finally shed tears. "I lost her tae........ I was too overprotective. And I didn't realise what I did was wrong." Seokjin rubbed his arm. "It's ok bro. I know she would come back. Y/n just needs some time. And now that we know she's out of danger then there's nothing to worry about."

"You had mentioned that the earlier doctor said her body was too weak to carry my child." Jin nodded. "Yeah......but I think it depends on the person. And now that we know that the baby is changing y/n too so she could bear it now. She has more pain tolerance and capacity to do things." Your husband closed his eyes. "I hope so............I'm not with her and that's what I'm most afraid of."

"Did the doctor tell you anything about precautions or any symptoms she might have to face?"

"They are not sure of anything."

"Her mom can at least take care of her......."

"I used to look forward to this, you know? Taking care of y/n when she's pregnant with our child......... watching her body change beautifully...........feed her whatever she craves and feel my daughter's kicks..........but I r-ruined everything. It's gone now. I lost the chance."

Taehyung sighed. "Do you wanna set up a camera in her room? We can at least make sure she's ok."

"What if she finds out?"

"I don't think she would......."

"Don't you think you are invading her privacy?" Yoongi walked into the living room. "You are doing the same thing you did two weeks ago. And your reason is being overprotective again. Just let her be, I'm sure she can take care of herself. Y/n isn't a child which needs to be monitored."

"You are right." Jin spoke up. "Don't do that. If you wanna check up, visit her sometimes."

"What if she refuses to see me?"

"What's the use of your stealth skills then?"
