I woke and sat up. I gritted my teeth from the pain of my stiff back. The ground was not treating me well. The door opened. It was Rose walking in.

"Oh my gosh are you hurt?" She said.

"Just a stiff back," I said, "no big deal."

"I'm sorry."

"It's fine. I'll live."

She smiled. "When do you want to leave?"

"I don't know," I said, "what time is it?"

"8. Our Pokemon are playing down in the center."

"Why are you always awake before me?"

"In Lilycove I lived to get up early and watch the sunrise over the ocean. It's gorgeous."

"I bet," I said.

"Let's leave at 9. I'll get ready."

"Okay. I'm going to go help out around the center."

"Okay sounds good. I'll catch up with you later." She turned around and left the room.

I stood up and got a quick shower. I pulled on a blue t-shirt and blue jeans. I got downstairs and got to the cafeteria. Rose was sitting at a table alone. I went and sat across from her.

"Hey. You okay?" I asked

"Yeah I'm fine," she said, "just getting breakfast." We are out breakfast. I had waffles and she had eggs just like usual. We left the cafeteria and the pokemon center was completely deserted.

"What's going on?" Rose asked.

"No idea," I said. We walked to the pokemon play room where no one was there. Our Pokemon were gone. Rose looked at me with scared eyes. "Let's go," I said.

We walked to the front door and opened it. We were greeted by a huge mob of people applauding us. Again. There were young kids sitting on their fathers shoulders. Everyone was cheering. The nurses were out there too. People wearing sailor clothes were there.

Rose and I had huge smiles on our faces. Out of the crowd walked Forest and Willow. They ran up to Rose. Forest climbed Rose and sat on her shoulder. Rose patted Willow on the head. Then out of the crowd rose Skyskater and Rocky. They flew to me and surrounded me. I smiled. People were still applauding. We started walking down the mob. People reached out to touch us.

A little girl ran up to Rose and tugged on her shirt. "When I grow up I want to go on an adventure like you!" Said the girl. Rose smiled and gave the girl a hug. We walked through the whole town of Slateport. At the end of the town were people with our bags. I'm pretty sure they were pokemon center workers.

Rose and I left the town waving. We kept walking down the path into the woods until we couldn't hear anymore applause. Above us was a large platform with people riding bikes on it.

"That was amazing," I said.

"Beyond amazing," said Rose. We walked for about an hour until we ran into a random house. It looked completely normal. There was a sign. It read: Trick House. Daring trainers, enter.

I looked at Rose. She shrugged. We walked in. A man was sitting at a table. "Welcome to the trick house. Finish the house to win an amazing prize." He then looked forward and stayed completely frozen. We walked past him and through the door at the end of the house. We entered into a completely blank room. It was painted blue. The lights shut off. I looked over at Rose. I couldn't see her.

The lights flickered and I saw Rose for a split second and the lights went out again. Then the lights turned on again. Rose was gone. I started to walk around the room.
