Out of My League (Tzukook Fanfic)

Feeling a headache about to come, Jimin slams his book shut. He then lays his head on the table. "Can we take a break yet Jungkook? We've been doing this homework for hours." Hearing no response, he lifts his head to look at his bestfriend.

"Jungkook?" Jimin asks as he sees Jungkook spacing out. This days, Jungkook can be seen spacing out often just staring blankly at something. Sighing, Jimin then shakes his shoulder "Earth to Jungkook!"

Snapping out of his daze, Jungkook then looks at Jimin beside him. His thoughts had been a mess lately, since his epiphany of liking of Tzuyu. For some reason, he can't focus at all and Tzuyu would always be on his mind. Maybe someone can help me with this, I can't keep going on like this.

"Say Jimin, how do you know you really like someone?"

"Eh? Eh?!" Jimin suddenly shouts, shocked at what he is hearing. Of all the things he expected Jungkook to say, this isn't one of them. But looking at Jungkook's eyes, it seems that he really is troubled with something or someone.

Jimin clears his throat "Why do you ask?"

"Just cause." Jungkook avoids looking at Jimin's eyes.

"Hmmm, first, whenever you look at that someone your heart will beat like crazy." Jungkook nods at that and remembers his chest feeling funny whenever he catches sight Tzuyu this past few days.

"Second, you would want to be close to that someone." Another memory comes up with Jungkook looking forward to their lunches with Tzuyu and her friends.

"Third, I guess is that you want that someone to notice you." He then remembers wanting for Tzuyu to look at his direction whenever he sees her around school.

"Last, I think is that they are always on your mind." With this Jungkook feels the puzzle being complete. That explains why his head is full of Tzuyu. He literally can't stop thinking about her, it's her who was always on mind when he wakes up and when he goes to sleep.

"Why do you ask anyway? Do you like someone Jungkook?" Jimin asks. Jungkook blushes at that, he knows he might have developed a crush for Tzuyu but now he can't deny it anymore that he, Jungkook, has fallen for Tzuyu. He had tried to deny that it was just admiration and curiosity since Tzuyu is different from all the girls he knows but now with Jimin's help, there is no denying that this isn't just mere admiration, that what he feels is something stronger than that.

Seeing how Jungkook become flustered, Jimin can't help but tease him "Come on tell me. It's obvious you like someone. I can't believe you would come to like a girl with how you always avoid them. Who is it? Is it Tzuyu?"

Hearing Tzuyu's name, Jungkook quickly ducks his head as if to hide from Jimin and his teasing. Seeing this, Jimin gets closer to Jungkook "So it's Tzuyu huh? So you like her after all."

Unable to stand the teasing, Jungkook stands up and retorts "So what if I like her?! You're the questionable one here, how did you know all that stuff about liking someone. Do you also like someone Jimin?"

Jimin gasps at Jungkook's question and defends himself "I don't like anyone okay. I only found out about that because of my sister Jihyo. She likes to watch romantic movies at home."

"Anyway this isn't about me, this is clearly about you."

"No it's not about me. Why don't we just finish our homework, so we can have more time for karate practice later." Jungkook says as he sits back down and prepares to finish his homework.

"Then one last question Jungkook. What are you going to do now that you realize you like Tzuyu?"

"Nothing. I will not do anything. She won't like me. Tzuyu is out of my league. She is out of everyone's league. She is like a flower on a high peak, only meant to be admired from afar." Jungkook sighs in defeat.
