Out of My League (Tzukook Fanfic)

Taehyung walks around the mall aimlessly. He's trying to distract himself from something. Lately, his thoughts had been a mess. And the reason for this is Jungkook's girlfriend, Tzuyu.

He didn't know why but his mind keeps on thinking about Tzuyu. Taehyung thinks it was because he was just curious on who had managed to get Jungkook's heart. He didn't think it was because of something else.

Feeling hungry from wandering around for a few hours already, he decides to eat at a fast food. While walking, a cake shop gets his attention. Stopping to look at the delicious cakes on display, he was reminded of someone.

He has this urge to buy a cake so he enters the shop when he bumps into another person who is also about to enter.

"Sorry," they both apologized.

Taehyung looks down at the person who he bumped into only to recognize her as the girl who asked for his number at the karaoke. He quickly distances himself upon checking that they are both safe.

Sana looks at the man in front of her and realizes it was Taehyung. Her eyes widen and she also moves away from him. It had been months since then but his rejection is still fresh in her mind.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't following you I swear," Sana quickly explains. She thinks Taehyung might misunderstand tha she was stalking him or something since he has an idea that she likes him.

Taehyung raises his eyebrows at her in question, "It's fine. I know that this is just a coincidence." He never once thought of her stalking him and that everything was just by chance.

They both enter the cake shop and looked at the cakes on display. Sana feels awkward so she makes small talk. "What are you doing here? Do you like cakes?"

"I'm just passing by," Taehyung says focused on checking the cakes.

"I'm buying cake for my mother, it's her birthday," Sana says already placing her order at the cashier.

After that it was quiet again. Taehyung is still looking at the cakes. Sana takes this opportunity to observe him. He still looks handsome and still manages to attract the attention of people. Even the staff of the cake shop keep glancing at him.

It was at this point that Taehyung sees a familiar cake. He was reminded of when he saw Tzuyu happily eating one during one of the times he dropped by at the cafe near their school. He unknowingly lets out a soft smile at the memory.

Sana sees him smiling all of a sudden and her heart breaks a little seeing it. Even after all this time, she still couldn't let go of her crush to him. So seeing him smile like that hurt her a bit.

His smile is different from all the other smiles she had seen on his face. Taehyung smiling like that makes him look like a boy in love. Sana knows since she has seen that type of smile around her friends who are also inlove so she's sure that Taehyung was reminded of his crush that's why he's smiling like that.

"You're in love," Sana breathes out.

Taehyung was about to place his order at the cashier when he hears Sana say something. "What did you say?"

Sana walks closer to him, ignoring the pain in her heart. "I said, you are in love."

Taehyung blinks confusedly. He is inlove? Is that what his feelings for Tzuyu are? His mind denies it but his heart knows that what Sana said is true. That he is in love. He had unknowingly fallen in love with his friend's girlfriend.

"Hey, what's up with you? Are you okay?" Hoseok asks Taehyung.

The two of them were seating together while they wait for their teacher. Taehyung had been spacing out lately. And Hoseok wants to know why his friend isn't being attentive in class. Even their teachers had noticed that Taehyung has been staring into space most of the time.

"How did you know you were inlove with Momo?" Taehyung asks shocking Hoseok.

"Eh? Hey, why are you asking this?" Hoseok is surprised. Taehyung had never been interested in this matters before which is a shame since he is handsome and has many girls crushing on him.

"Just answer my question."

Hoseok sighs, if Taehyung really wants to know badly then who is he to not listen to him? "I just know. It just suddenly came to me out of the blue. She suddenly became someone all I think about. When she's sad, I also became sad. We were just friends but when she said that she wants to date someone, it made my heart ache. That's when I realized that I can't bear the thought of her being with someone else. So I confessed to her."

"That's it? Just like that?" Taehyung frowns, he still tries to deny what his heart is telling him.

"You don't believe me? Then we can also ask Namjoon and Yoongi," Hoseok says and then calls for their other friends, "Namjoon! Yoongi! Come here for a minute."

Namjoon walks to their seats while Yoongi looks uninterested and is still seating in his seat. Yoongi only stood up when Hoseok told him it's a serious matter.

"So what's up?" Namjoon asks Hoseok.

"Our friend here wants to know when did I realize I'm inlove with Momo but he doesn't believe me when I answered his question."

Both Namjoon and Yoongi looked at Taehyung in surprise. "What do you want us to do then?"

"You can also tell him when did you know you are inlove. Maybe with three of us he will finally believe my words earlier."

"Well for me, I realize it after exchanging messages with Chaeyoung for so long that I didn't want us to be just friends. That I want to be her boyfriend too. I know I'm inlove with her when she became my ideal girl," Namjoon says, a soft smile on his face while thinking of his girlfriend.

"What about you, Yoongi?" Hoseok asks their quiet friend. He is also curious on how did Yoongi end up with Jihyo since he thought Yoongi would be the last to have a girlfriend on their circle of friends.

"It's not as romantic as you would think. I grew up knowing Jihyo since our little brothers are friends so she is always close to me. I had hoped that Jihyo and I would always be close and I figured that if becoming her boyfriend would make us even closer and would make us always together so I asked her to be my girlfriend," Yoongi says with a rare soft smile on his face that only Jihyo can cause.

Hoseok taps Taehyung's shoulder, "So you have any idea now?"

Taehyung had been listening intently to his friends as they tell stories of how they figured out they are inlove and all of them now make sense to him. His mind is now convinved. Their stories made him realize his feelings for a certain someone. He can't deny it anymore that he is inlove with Tzuyu.

He don't know how it suddenly became like that. It had started with his curiosity about who is the girl Jungkook is dating since Jungkook doesn't get close to girls. And before he realized it, his simple curiosity turned into something more than he had expected.

"So what's this all about? Why are you asking something about this?" Namjoon asks him.

Taehyung sighs, "I might be inlove."

All three of them were surprised. Tahyung who don't even care about romantic things is inlove.

"So who is the lucky girl? Is she in our class?" Hoseok wiggles his eyebrows teasing Taehyung.

"Are you going to confess?" Namjoon asks.

Taehyung shrugs at their questions. Hoseok was about to say more when their teacher arrived forcing his friends to go back to their seats thus saving him from their questions.

It was a big problem for him now that he knows what his feelings for Tzuyu are called. If only his friends knew that he had fallen inlove with a person he can't have.
