Rising Tides

The waters of your fearful lies are rising high,
Crawling up my stone calves; is this goodbye?
A crack forms within my stone as it reaches my thigh.
This is it; I’ll drown in your lies; this is how I’ll die.

The waters rise higher and higher
As you become more of a liar.
Yet, you’ve messed with fire.
And I’m afraid you’ll kill me as I acquire —

That’s it.
I have acquired it.

My stone manifestation crumbles.
Your manipulating ability endlessly tumbles.
The waters recede, dragging away my troubles;
They’re all in an abundance of extraordinary numbers.

As my stone breaks away, I am freer.
The easier I move, I am less of a dreamer.
I destroy the stone constricting my legs; I am a leader,
A leader for myself with another that’s a keeper.

Each piece of stone has been flushed within the water
And each splash that soaks me in the water’s chill makes me stronger.
I can see the beast within the water is petrified; you’re that monster,
And I do not stand for another foul order.

The tides are rising with all your lies.
Attempt to drown me within them and restring our ties
That I’ll cut and cut until you’re finished with all your tries.
Come on, I’m not made of stone anymore, so let’s comprise.

I have acquired it,
After crawling in the water, the dirt caked fingernails, the sense of unfit,
After barely breathing, drowning, dying, becoming stone then split,
As I slowly and proudly acquired it.
