He can hear the birds chirp outside his huge window. He opens his eyes and made them stare at the plain ceiling for a while.

(Bird sounds)

Suddenly, a gentle knock disturbed his peaceful manner.

"It's open." He said, irritated.

"Darling..."

Silence

Naruto exhaled, trying to gain the patience he buries. He isn't that upset. It's just, the news from yesterday is shocking! It's even weird he dreamt about her just earlier.

Wait, what?

"Darling? Can we talk downstairs?" Kushina cut his train of thoughts.

Honestly, he doesn't know how to properly interact with them after all the years they had missed! He aims to never blame them because everyone makes mistakes and he should absorb the reality of life.

"I think there's no need for that."

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for not telling you about it."

"I'm okay."

"I know you're not."

"Ah."

"B-But, if you don't love the set-up, then I'll cancel the engageme―"

"No."

Huh?

Kushina's eyes sparkled as if she wins something interesting. "So, I'm right!" She's on her chibi self acting like a child. "Darling! Arigatoooooo! Eat your breakfast, alright? I love you!" And by that, she slams the door leaving the blonde, confused.

Oh, sh**! Why did he do that? He roughly rubs his face with annoyance. Now what?! What's more annoying is the fact he can smell her scent all over his body! She is freakingly addicting!

Is he going crazy?

Maybe yes.

Ugh! What's with that woman though!

He's referring to Hinata, mad from their awkward encounter.

Occupied by something else, Hinata put the unnecessary stuff inside her locker, aiming to head to their room soonest.

As she took the stairs going up, she stops and stares at how peaceful the peach blossom looked. The smile never leaves her beautiful face. Memories from last night linger everywhere in her mind. The way Naruto held her tight. The way he speaks. It was just a dream for her―a splendid dream.

Along the way, a woman's sob caught her attention. Her brows twitch, anxious about whoever the person is. She took her whole courage to trace where that sound coming from.

"Sasuke-kun..." It was the woman.

The raven remains firm eyeing the pink-haired unbothered. "Sakura..." His voice is cold. "Please don't bother me anymore. That's all I ask."

"W-Wait! Please, just even friends. I promise to make it less awkward!"

"No need!" Irritated, he began advancing his feet away from her. "You're always annoying."

By that, he continued walking leaving the pitiful woman as her tears poured uncontrollably. This is the first time she confessed to someone but it seems, his heart was made of stone. It's so hard...so cold. Her sobs ruled the dull corridor indicating her loss.
