Ashamed of everything he did, he remains silent while stealing glances at the woman whom he took advantage of because of his pride and ego. Damn! Reality hits so hard and it gradually collects the debt now.
Scary.
When break time comes in, he bravely asks if she can join him to eat the meal to perhaps, begin a good space between them.
"I just thought of you and I'm cool if you don't want to." He said, hoping.
Meanwhile, the woman is confused and shy particularly. Something has happened between them, and that sh** makes her manner in chaos. "I'm fine with it."
Her words gave him unknown hope. At least, she's giving him chance or close to that. What's important is the process and he trusts it fully. "Thank you..."
"Hmmm..."

The sound of the utensils ruled the background while Naruto and Hinata continued to eat in silence. What to say? First and foremost, such an encounter is forced and both are naive about how to properly address each other after everything they've been through.
This initiative creates scenarios inside Hinata's overthinking mind. She's scared, in doubt, and confused about why he's doing this knowing that he's in love with Sakura.
Wait, is he playing her emotions?
"The foods here are tasty." He said, guilty.
"I think so, too."
"If you want more, just say. I'll pay."
"Uh, no. Thank you. I'm cool. I appreciate your efforts."

Silence
Suddenly, Hinata's phone rang revealing Sasuke's name on the screen. Stunned, she manages to answer the call. "Hello?"
"I'm outside the building you work." He retaliates and it remains frosty as usual.
"Outside? Why?"
"Just because..."
She raises her eyebrow to show how her curiosity builds up. From another perspective, Naruto continues to eat, listening to their conversations as well.
"Did you wait longer?" She bites her lower lip adding, "Okay...I'll be there."
Silence
"Naruto-kun, I need to go first." She smiled trying her best to stay calm while her heart raced so fast. "T-Thank you for your time."
Just like that, she fixes her stuff and is about to walk away but the blonde suppresses her hand, determined. His heart pumps as if it'll explode anytime soon.
"Hinata..."
The way he pronounced her name sent unknown chills throughout her system. An awkward silence enveloped just so suddenly that made the set-up so wrong! She's trying not to assume anything and the fact that he and Sakura are lovers prevents her from future betrayal. It isn't her character though.
"N-Nothing...I mean, have fun with him." That's right. What right does he have anyway? No matter how he flips the argument upside down, Hinata isn't his anymore. Although it hits his ego sharp, he needs to understand the consequence of what he did.

"I'll see you later."

He is actually waiting outside the building wearing a hoodie which fits his personality as a whole. His eyes were fixed on her as she approaches his distance.
"Sasuke-kun! What's the matter?" She greets him, casually.
"My mom and Hanabi want me to give this to you." He hands her the bento meal, nervous to stare at her eyes.
"Ah, then I'm sorry for bothering you..."
"You never."
"Oh..."
"I need to leave. I'll wait here later so I can take you home."
"Ah? No need! I can go home by myself."
"Hinata, I'll be back later."
And by that, he advances his feet leaving a strange impression on the indigo-haired. Honestly, what is he doing?

It's weird how Sasuke insists to wait and bring her home. That encounter lingers on her mind, creating many unsure questions to perhaps, unhinged her more. Wait a minute...don't tell, he likes me? No, Hinata! What are you even thinking?! Stop being delusional!
Distressed, her phone rang. And her well-defined manner went lawless for a moment. The tamed heart became uncontrolled when she saw Naruto's name on the screen. The liquid inside her mouth went down to her throat almost choking her breathing pattern. Trembling, she picks it up, silent.
"Naruto-san? What's the matter?"
"I'm glad you're awake." He said and he seems breathless from the other line.
"I'm about to sleep..."
"I see."
Silence
"What's wrong? Did something happen?... Sakura?"
"No. I just wanted to hear your voice."
"Ah..."
Damn! Why is he doing this?
"Too bad. It's approaching midnight and it's cold."
"Yeah...too bad." She awkwardly replied.

"Hinata..."

"I am outside your apartment." A long pause. "I'm desperate to see you again and I'm sorry..."
