Tired, she manages to wake up as her subconscious tells her so. Perhaps, it has been programmed since her every routine usually begins with exercises to keep her body in shape. She blinks twice trying to stabilize her vision for a while.
A moment of silence...
Oh my! She panics realizing this isn't her home. Her sight traveled back to her body. She twitches seeing a thick blanket perfectly cover her figure.
Silence and the only sound are the morning animals...
My oh my!
The only person who'll do this is Naruto. She blushes thinking of him being concerned or at least.
She stretches her body with a smile that never leaves her beautiful face. His small deeds make her stomach untamed. It's like millions of butterflies wanted a way out!
She does yoga for five minutes, and after that, she decided to cook him breakfast. Perhaps, he deserves another token of love. She smiled, contented.
✦
The alarm clock goes off awakening his tamed spirit. He rolled to turn it off since it was getting annoying. He exhaled thinking he'll do the same routine just like yesterday. How depressing.
He let his thoughts cruise for a while. He is stuck staring at his plain ceiling. Why does it seem someone is using the kitchen utensils? His eyes widened realizing Hinata's presence. Is it her cooking for him again?
He rushes to get off his bed and then grips the knob but the moment he touches the handle, he became self-conscious. Like, is he looking presentable? Is his hair messy?
Why is he thinking those stuff just so suddenly? Oh yes! It will be just real quick. He went inside the bathroom, brush his teeth, washes his face, and cleans his hair. This sh** is weird man. Or whatever.
✦
"Dad, I'm alright." She explained turning the stove off since it's the last dish. "Kushina and Minato san were out of the country." And then she screamed when she saw Naruto looking at her just where he stands as to where he was yesterday.
[Hinata? You alright?] Hiashi panicked on the other line.
Goodness! Why does he love scaring her?
"Yeah, sorry just some rats."
[Rats?]
"D-Dad, I'll call you back."
[You sure?]
"Hmmm, Ba-bye."
Silence
The tension is upsetting or it's just her. She is distracted by how this man stares at her. It's like he's judging her deep within her soul. How strange.
"O-Ohayo, Naruto-kun..."
"Hi..."
Silence
Damn!
He can't seem to take his eyes off her. What on earth! Seeing her early in the morning is a new thing for him. Although they're childhood friends, this Hinata is a grown-up lady and so is her body.
Gulps.
"You stayed."
"Hmmm...your mom called earlier." She smiled. "You know, just worried about you."
"I see."
He's honestly waiting for her to praise how he looks early in the morning.
How childish.
"Thank you." He said, looking away feeling ashamed.
"..."
"About yesterday."
She blushes because he's handsome with that kind of face. Kayaaaaaaa! The butterflies have gone wild once more!
"We―" She blinked twice adding, "We are friends so, of course, I care for you."
Silence
"Friends huh..."
"Hehehehehe..." She awkwardly laughs to lessen the tight atmosphere between them.
Oh, my gawd. What to do next! Help!
She began to prepare the dish for him to eat. She made herself busy washing the used pots so her attention will shift to something less awkward.
Water sounds...
"The last time I thought we were engaged and now we're friends." He exclaimed, dismayed. She isn't sure what he meant by the way he speaks but she continues washing the dish to distract her mind.
"Hinata."
It happened so fast. She never sensed him walking closer nor heard the steps. She was just greeted by his sudden embrace which made her heartbeats triple. Literally, Naruto hugs her from behind.
The running water remains to be the only sound ruling the atmosphere between them. Later on, the man rested his chin on her shoulder inhaling her hair. This woman...everything about her is addicting. Or perhaps he went crazy for a moment.
Two heartbeats joined making the embrace warm. "Do you think I can learn to love?" He asks, randomly fixing his vision to the sink. "Or maybe I should give myself a chance to love."
"W-Why are you asking me that?"
Him, hugging her is a f****** dream that just came true! What a moment!
"Because you're my fiancé." He replied, unbothered.
That fact he acknowledges their relationship is the next level crazy!
"Ah..."
"Do tell...why you like me."
Silence
The imperative is awkward. "I think you're just hungry, please eat―"
"Tell me..."
Silence
"I have no reason to."
"Really."
"And I don't like you."
He chuckled for he finds this conversation so obvious and he likes it so much. "I know you love me."
"Baka..." She whispered, distressed.
"Just wanna tease you. I think you're cute."
Oh, my gawd! This man! She turns the faucet off, closing her eyes and reminiscing the intimacy they share.
"I'm scared if I'll let my guard lowered, I'll get hurt in the end." He said, digging his face into her hair. Damn! What shampoo does she use? That sh** is addicting!
"We always get hurt when we fell in love."
"Yes and I'm afraid."
"Then you won't grow if you keep that mindset."
"Tch. What a great quote."
"It's not."
"..."
Silence
"So that's why I'm asking if it's worth the try." The conversation became steamy. "If I ask you to be my woman-" He reaches for her neck and he isn't even sure why he does that. "Would you say yes this time?"
"I, I...maybe."
"I don't know how to ask properly so I just-" He blushes cause he began to feel self awkward. "Dude, forget it. That's embarrassing."
She giggles softly which turns him on like what? "If I say yes, what will you do then?"
Silence
"I want to kiss you. I badly want to know how your lips taste..." Yes, although the statement is cringeworthy, the majority of what he spits is a big fact.
"Then..." She curves her sweet smile saying, "Kiss me."
They let the silence rule the deafening background and for a while, such a moment is beyond beautiful.
