After the wedding

Dwindling amidst the glimpse of the memories they share, how can we stay in love throughout the years? Is it because we are afraid to break the loop? Is it because we were familiar with each other's touch? Is it because we drowned ourselves in the name of love? Or perhaps, we despise seeing one another beaming in the arms of the strangers we refuse to know?

Perhaps it's the memories that keep us bounded. It makes us refined. It makes us selfish at times. It's because we love, strive, and made us kill the rational part of ourselves because we are in love.

She is yet naive about the answer. But she is indeed irrational concurrently. She can't help but kiss him in return every time he makes her feel vulnerable. She likes it peculiarly if he kisses her deeper, digging into her soul so he can taste every bit of her body. So he can own her. He can devour her with his endless devotion. He can claim her as his.

She bites her lower lip, listening to the sound she is solely familiar with. It's raining outside. It's cold yet too warm when inside. She is irrational, foolish, and captured under his spell.

Yet, how can she refuse his love? No day he assures how he is into her completely. He worships her to the core.

Everyday.

"I love you, Hina." He murmurs while moving his body from slow to brisk that he almost lost his mind. His tears, the realizations, and his love for her failed to vanish. It never dies and will never not even once.

He is her soldier, slave, her lover. He is willing to try more. He is willing to shame his ego. For her, he is willing.

And the fear? He bravely let it go.

Once more, he came back for her. He came to her—his only home. Yes, he is scared but at least he knew he took the risk to love her again. He knew deep within, Hinata is the only one his heart yearns for so long. And now, he is finally home. In her arms, in her warmth, in her spell. He is forever hers.

"I love you," he added, staring deeply into her eyes, telling her stories she fails to know when she's gone. Biting her neck now while caressing her chest, moving swiftly, it felt beyond euphoria. Not even the concrete happiness can able to describe what he felt being inside her.

The marriage contract fell from the table due to the harsh movement they made. It shows a glimpse of reality. Naruto and Hinata as husband and wife on the written page are way more coherent.

Her simple wedding dress wrinkled, displeased for sure. And now, she can't help but moan his name. She can't help ramming her nails on his back every time he thrust deeper.

It's way more gentle but the setting, her sound, and her body make him go wild. "Will this hurt the baby?"

She smiles, ungoverned. "The baby will get its revenge soon," she said, holding her breath for a while.

Then they kissed, hungry.

Once she felt his tongue inside her mouth, her body twitched, rebellious.

"I never ended my love for you," he whispered, as he hold her waist firm, releasing every bit of him inside. The pause, the aftermath of intimacy, the unruled pacing of breath, he memories them. He looks at her, mesmerized. "Thank you for marrying me, Hinata."

"You threatened me. How can I run away?" She said, still breathless.

But then, her words only made him smile like a fool. He lands his lips on her forehead, saying, "When we have your father's blessing, let's get married again."

Biting her lips, she nods, kissing his chin. "I like that."

Before the wedding

Holding the bouquet, he curves a smile and he made sure he'll look handsome on it. It's like, he's about to die. His heartbeats are quite irrational just the moment she showed herself, beautiful as always.

F***!

He can't do it.

He is scared.

A f****** coward.

"Thank you, Sasuke-san." She whispered, glad.

Damn! He failed to realize she's been standing in front! "These flowers are beautiful just like you."

She smells the bouquet and such a gesture satisfies his ego. If she only knew...if she only.

"I'm grateful. Thank you."

Her gentle smile. That's exactly what he likes. Too bad, he stands no chance from the beginning. Laughing inwardly, he caresses her cheeks, memorizing every detail of her feature. "If he'll hurt you, run away with me."

Silence

"You're good at stealing a woman's heart, don't you?"

"No. Just your heart, maybe."

She beamed, "I love him, Sasuke."

"There is no doubt."

"Well, there is plenty of fish in the ocean."

"I know," he smiled, "But I see you."

The silence between them is deafening, unsure.

"As I said, I'm grateful for you, Sasuke..."

He remains silent as he continued to look at her, cherishing the last time he can be as close as this to her.

"As I also said, the moment he hurt you, run away with me." He challenged her in return.

Beaming about how confident he is, she pouts saying, "Deal?"

"Deal."

He knew the chance is slim to none but at least he tried. And for that, he holds no regret. Turmoiled, he watches her almost perfect image advancing, opposite in his direction. The tears he protects not to fall finally gain their liberty.

"Hinata!" He screamed, hurt.

In such a moment, everything became slow, faultless.

"I am happy for you." He smiled, hoping she'll feel how sincere he is. "I am happy when you're happy. I promise you that."

In her stance, she smiles, glad. "Thank you," she whispered.

The end.

Hello! Thank you for this long journey! Just to feed your curiosity, the original ending was Hinata and Naruto having children and Sasuke being the hopeless romantic/in love with Hinata even after having Naruto's children. But I revised it and only one reader who contacted me through Instagram read the original ending of this story. Yes, that was last 2021. Thank you so much for reading my novels!

Don't forget to do social distancing! Drink water, okay? :3
